Lebow College of Business Announces Appointment to MIS Advisory Council

William “Buddy” Gillespie, DSS Director of Healthcare Solutions, has been elected to serve a two year term on the Management Information Systems (MIS) Advisory Council at the LeBow College of Business at Drexel University.

This newly formed advisory council is comprised of top management and information systems professionals with significant experience in the field who will be asked to provide advice and strategic direction in developing and delivering a high quality MIS curriculum for the University. The council members will share insights regarding trends and developments in the field of MIS and offer ideas and suggestions for improving and expanding the program. The members will also ensure research interests align with business trends and that students are attracted to the MIS field and inspired by the success stories of the council.

In his current role as Director of Healthcare Solutions for DSS, Gillespie’s position is a critical part of the company’s continued efforts to develop a core focus on Healthcare IT Solutions, and set the stage for future growth. His responsibilities include direct consulting with clients, assessing and improving healthcare solution offerings, helping drive the DSS brand into the healthcare community, and initiating relationships with hospitals and practices for future business development.

Gillespie said: “It’s exciting to be able to make a tangible impact on a dynamic business school involved in cutting-edge research and teaching.
