USC Marshall Sports Business Institute Announces Partnership with USA Today Sports Media Group

USC Marshall School of Business’ Sports Business Institute and the USA TODAY Sports Media Group announced the collaboration of the two groups to create an online platform for daily content covering the business of sports.

The program named Fields of Green, will cover breaking news, current events and other popular topics in the sports industry through blog postings, columns, slideshows and videos. The website will aim to show the connections between sports, entertainment, media trends, sponsorship deals and marketing campaigns that are impacting the world of sports.

The website will serve a wide variety of people, ranging from sports industry professionals to consumers. Fields of Green is expected to be a leader in the sports media space.

Fields of Green brings something completely new to the table: timely, incisive analysis of issues in sports from a business perspective,” said David Carter, executive director of the Sports Business Institute and a national authority on sports business and strategic marketing.

The Sports Business Institute at USV Marshall is a multi-sided center focused the sports business industry through research, consulting assignments and sports business events.
