REGISTER: Kogod’s Career-Con 2014

MBA students should always be looking to either explore new career options or secure a position in the field of their dreams. At the Kogod School of Business’ Career-Con, students will be able to find all the necessary resources to create a personal career arsenal in one day.

Taking place on Saturday, September 6 from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., attendees get to select which of the convention’s five sessions best suits them and join prominent employers and successful alums who will share their expertise and advice.

SESSION 1: 10:00-10:45 A.M.

Start Your Fandom: Accounting &Finance Day Prep (Featuring CohnReznick, Deloitte & Touche, Fannie Mae)
Industry guests will be sharing best practices for success at Finance & Accounting Day 2014 (Monday, September 15). Hear in advance about employers in attendance, as well as tips for the industry fair and networking reception.

Faster Than a Speeding Bullet: Advising & More on the Fly

SESSION 2: 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M.

Eagle Genius: Cracking the Case Interview (Featuring Deloitte)
 Interviews in the consulting, finance, management, marketing, or research fields are often case-based. Get practical advice on mastering the right skills and expectations.

Not-So-Secret Identity: 15 Minute Talks on Your Values, Interests, Skills, & Personality
Your super powers are your values, interests, skills, and personality, and employers want to know what they are! Get quick information in short blocks of time on these critical topics for finding the right industry, occupation, and employer fit.

SESSION 3: 12:00-12:45 P.M.

Meet & Greet Lunch with Industry-Specific Practitioners(Featuring Baker Tilly, Deloitte Consulting, KPMG, IBM, The Carlyle Group, Three Spot, Deloitte &Touche, Top Performers Recruitment, Fannie Mae, The American Red Cross, Uber, Tom Kohn – Executive-in-Residence, Bill Bellows – Executive-in-Residence)
Chat with employers and alumni over lunch in small groups focused on different business sectors and industries.

SESSION 4: 1:00-1:45 P.M.
