Gabelli School’s Westchester EMBA Cohort at a Glance
The 2017 Executive MBA class at Fordham University- Gabelli School of Business‘s Westchester campus is 28 percent female, and the average age of its members is 37, according to a press release from the school.
The Gabelli School also reported that 61 percent of the class members were born outside of the United States, hailing from countries including Albania, Croatia, Ecuador, Egypt, Jamaica, Puerto Rico and Uganda.
They come from an array of undergraduate institutions, ranging from area schools such as St. John’s University to the University of North Texas to Bangalore University. Four members of the new class already hold MS degrees, and one has earned a JD.
The Gabelli’s School’s 22-month EMBA program is designed for busy executives who will continue to work as they pursue their degree. Members of this EMBA class are employed by organizations including the United Nations and Con Edison, and they hold roles including chief operating officer, senior vice president, information systems manager, human resource manager, warehouse manager and director of supply chain. Their mean current salary is just over $130,000. Three are military veterans, including two Bronze Star recipients.
The Gabelli School offers its EMBA program at both its Westchester and Lincoln Center campuses. The Westchester program starts in January, and the Lincoln Center program starts in September, according to the Gabelli School’s website. Classes meet one weekend per month, and students also complete a five-day “international residential” experience.
The next information session about the Gabelli School’s EMBA program is 6 p.m. Jan. 20 at Fordham’s Lowenstein Building in Manhattan.
