San Jose State University Maintains AACSB Accreditation

San Jose State University proudly announced that it’s Lucas Graduate School of Business has maintained its AACSB accreditation.

Lucas has garnered a high reputation as a center of training for those with their sights on careers in Silicon Valley.

In a recent message, Dean of the College Dr. Marlene Turner remarked, “Our graduates consistently earn more than the national average. Diverse in age, cultural background, business experience, and goals, they have been at the center of Silicon Valley’s remarkable growth.”

The AACSB peer review team gave the school stellar marks for high impact research, excellence in the development of its institutes and centers, and for the diversity of its co-curricular activities. The team also noted the quality of programs such as the Thompson Global Internship Program and the Gary J. Sbona Honors Program.

Lucas’ Executive-in-Residence Program is another major draw for MBAs seeking first hand access to industry experts. The school is currently hosting leaders in Community Engagement, Cybersecurity, Healthcare Management, and Global Outreach, with a focus on Eastern Asia.

Robert D. Reid, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB International, said,

“Business schools must not only meet specific standards of excellence, but their deans, faculty, and professional staff must make a commitment to ongoing continuous improvement to ensure that the institution will continue to deliver the highest quality of education to students… It takes a great deal of commitment and determination to earn and maintain AACSB Accreditation.”
