LeBow EMBA Alumni Honored for Careers in the Business of Healthcare
Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business honored two EMBA alumni last month whose careers serve as testaments to the school’s power to integrate business and the sciences.
On December 1, 2016, Robert Plotkin (’99) and Anahi Santiago (’10) received Alumni Awards during the annual ceremony held at the Anthony J. Drexel Picture Gallery.
Robert Plotkin, who began his career in social work, decided to pursue an EMBA with the hope of providing greater access to those in need of psychiatric services. After creating a start-up for his staffing business, Social Work PRN, he founded a second company, Arcadian Telepsychiatry. A video conferencing system, Arcadian provides access to psychotherapists and psychiatrists for patients nationwide. For patients who do not have access to transportation due to time, money or circumstance, Arcadian serves as a revolutionary model for provision of mental healthcare services.
Plotkin further broke through when Arcadian gave rise to the WholeCare model, which combines primary and behavioral health care provider access via teleconference.
Anahi Santiago began her academic career at Drexel with a BS in Electrical and Computer Engineering. She decided to pursue her EMBA with the hope of integrating her engineering background with the pursuit of a high level position in healthcare information sciences.
As the Chief Information Security Officer for the Christiana Care Health System, Santiago possesses a wealth of experience in the highly specialized realm of healthcare information security. Prior to joining Christiana, she held positions at Unisys and the Einstein Healthcare Network.
