Ted Rogers Makes It Easy to Earn Your CPA

Thanks to a new Professional Master’s Diploma in Accounting, Ryerson University’s Ted Rogers School of Management is making it easier than ever for students to earn their CPA accreditation. The 12-week program enables students to accelerate their accounting careers by offering a fast track for the CPA. The program has been accredited by the Chartered Professional Accounts of Ontario under the CPA National Recognition and Accreditation Standards for Post-Secondary Institutions.

The Professional Master’s Diploma in Accounting, which launches in May, will help accounting graduates complete both core and elective modules within the CPA Professional Education Program (PEP). The courses, delivered in two six-week modules, cover topics such as advanced financial and management accounting, auditing, performance management and taxation.

In addition, students will learn from guest speakers, case studies and projects that are consistent with graduate education in accounting. The goal of the program is to position graduates to be global business leaders in accounting on a shortened timetable.

“CPA accreditation continues the incredible upward trajectory of our School of Accounting & Finance and showcases the strength, academic rigor and excellence of our accounting program,” Dean Steven Murphy said in a press release from the university. “Our students can continue their professional accounting education at TRSM and accelerate their path to the CPA designation with this new graduate program offering.”

The new offering is in large part thanks to a strong partnership between the Ted Rogers School of Management and CPA Ontario. “We are very proud to have accredited and partnered with Ryerson University and look forward to building upon our already strong relationship,” said Richard Piticco, CPA, CA, CFA, Vice-President, Student Services, Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario.
