Anisfield School of Business – Ramapo College of New Jersey
The Ramapo Accelerated MBA Structure
In the Ramapo Accelerated MBA program at the Anisfield School of Business, students complete 42 credits in twenty months in a cohort. Each cohort moves through the program together, providing support and networking opportunities. Each term, of which there are seven, includes two concurrent courses. Terms take 10 weeks, and all have at least one week separating them from the prior and following terms. Each course consists of two evenings per week on site at the Mahwah campus in conjunction with three hours of weekly online instruction.
Prior to beginning their first term, Ramapo Accelerated MBA students must complete three online preparatory courses in Accounting, Quantitative Methods and Statistics, and Business Writing and Communication. These pre-MBA modules are offered in order to provide students of varying backgrounds with a baseline level of knowledge necessary for their business education. Students with an undergraduate degree in Business can test out of each module. Once the program commences, students take suites of courses grouped under several headings: Foundational Core (including Managerial Economics and Statistics), Functional Core (including Financial and Operations Management), Leadership, and Global. In addition, students can build elective courses into the program. The degree culminates in a Capstone Course-Consulting Project, worth three credits.
The Ramapo Accelerated MBA is targeted to early career professionals with at least 2 years of relevant work experience.
Ramapo offers a wide range of career resources, including a dedicated staff of career advisers as well as services such as résumé critiques, cover letter advice, and targeted LinkedIn Profile development. The office also offers a series of Professional Development Workshops on topics like presentation, self-branding, and writing.
Tuition and Financial Aid
The total cost of the Ramapo MBA program is $44,608. Tuition is generally paid on a per-term basis, which amounts to $6,372.57 for each of the 7 terms. The costs of the immersion trip and other fees and expenses are included in these totals.
Ramapo requires a standard array of application materials: official transcripts, two letters of recommendation, a resume, and a two-page personal statement describing, “why you wish to pursue an MBA at Ramapo College, including your short- and long-term aspirations.” GMAT/GRE scores are required on a case-by-case basis and are unnecessary for applicants with a minimum 3.0 GPA and two years of work experience as well as applicants who already have a graduate degree. An interview may be required on a case-by-case basis. There is a $60 application fee.
The Ramapo Accelerated MBA has no application deadlines and operates on a rolling basis, which makes it important to submit applications as early as possible.
