UT Dallas Executive MBA Program Structure

The UT Dallas Executive MBA program at the Naveen Jindal School of Management is a 21-month cohort program that is completed over five semesters, beginning each year in August. Classes for the program meet four times per month. Students meet all day Friday and Saturday followed by a weekend off. Class days run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and includes breakfast, lunch, and snacks served on campus.

Curriculum

The UT Dallas Executive MBA program curriculum focuses on the fundamentals of business as well as strategy to advance in the marketplace, leadership, corporate assets strategy, and data use and interpretation.

Students in the UT Dallas Executive MBA program follow a 53 credit hour curriculum. The program also includes one class trip and a structured executive coaching program.

Executive Coaching is required in the first four semesters of the Executive MBA program. During their first semester, students will be assigned an executive coach with whom they will create a professional development plan focused in five executive core competencies. Each month, students complete homework assignments designed to help them reach their personal and professional growth goals.

Students in the Executive MBA program will take a 10-day international study tour that gives them the chance to meet professionals in another country. During this trip they will visit two different cities or countries.

Class Profile

The UT Dallas Executive MBA program is designed for business professionals. The average student age is 40 and the average amount of work experience is 16 years, 12 years of management experience. Sixteen percent of the program participants are female and 41 percent come from a country other than the United States.

Careers

The UT Dallas Executive MBA program prepares experienced professionals for careers in upper management.

Executive MBA students have access to the Career Management Center at the Jindal School of Management. The Career Management Center offers students tools to develop a career management strategy.

Students also are required to participate in Executive Coaching, which will provide students with an executive coach who will help to design goals and help with advancing their careers.

Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid for the UT Dallas Executive MBA

The UT Dallas Executive MBA program is supported entirely by participant fees. Students must pay five equal installments of $18,000 before the start of each semester to cover tuition and program fees, for a total of $90,000.

These costs include course materials, textbooks, cases and access to the web and video conferencing systems, on-campus parking permits, and breakfast, lunch and snacks served on all class days.

The tuition costs also cover the cost of the international trip. However, students must pay for their own airfare. Executive MBA students may apply for student loans. The UT Dallas Financial Aid Office can provide more information. Admissions to the UT Dallas Executive MBA

Students applying to the UT Dallas Executive MBA program are required to have at least eight years of professional business experience with international and management experience. They must also have completed a four-year bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 3.0 or better from an accredited institution. Additional requirements include a resume, essay, three recommendations, employer agreement and application fee.

Applicants for this program are not required to take the GMAT or GRE tests. Applicants must send all required materials by mail to the Executive Programs Office or by email to the admissions manager, Connie Imhof. The address is as follows:
