Villanova School of Business

History

The Villanova School of Business (VSB) is located in Villanova, Pennsylvania and is part of Villanova University. VSB was founded in 1922 by the Roman Catholic Order of Saint Augustine and is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business.

Locations

Villanova students in the school’s undergraduate and graduate degree business programs study at the main campus in the town of Villanova. They also study at The Hub CityView at 17th and Market Streets within Philadelphia’s Center City district. The Executive MBA program is located in the university conference center in Radnor, PA.

The main Villanova campus is located just 20 miles away from the Philadelphia International Airport.

Facilities

MBA students may choose between studying in Villanova or Center City Philadelphia. Bartley Hall, home to the main business school on the Villanova campus, underwent a 2002 expansion and restoration project that added 65,000 square feet of space to the building. It now contains 33 classrooms, an auditorium, six lecture halls, a cafeteria and a coffee bar, in addition to offices for faculty and administration. Villanova’s Center City classes, meanwhile, take place at 17th and Market Streets in the HUB CityView facilities in the United Way building. The site is located near public transportation, and a nearby parking garage offers discounted rates to students.

For Executive MBA students, the Villanova University Conference Center that hosts the program is located roughly one mile away from the University’s main campus. The 32-acre site in Radnor is heavily wooded and fully equipped for students’ weekend-long stays, including lodging, dining facilities and recreational areas.

Faculty

Faculty at VSB teach across five academic areas, including accountancy and information systems, finance, economics, management and operations, and marketing and business law. With more than 100 faculty members supporting six research centers, known as Centers of Excellence, the school boasts a student-to-faculty ratio of 15:1.

Student Body

Nearly 1,000 students graduated from the Villanova School of Business in 2015, with just over 600 graduating from the Flex, Fast, and Executive MBA programs. Students in all the MBA programs enrolled with an average of six years professional working experience and a GPA average between 3.0 and 3.75.

MBA Degree Offerings

In addition to an Executive MBA program, the Villanova School of Business offers two part-time MBA degree options: Fast Track MBA and Flex Track. Either option is available online as well.
