West Chester University School of Business

History

The MBA program at the West Chester University College of Business and Public Management was accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools in Business International in 2010.

Locations

The MBA program is offered both on-site at West Chester University’s graduate campus in at the Boot Road exit off Route 202 about four miles north of the WCU main campus in West Chester, Pennsylvania, and via an online platform. The Graduate Center is on the Route 202 corridor and affords students free parking. The city of Philadelphia is accessible by car in approximately 45 minutes, as these facilities are located approximately 35 miles from Center City.

The university campus is also located less than 40 miles away from the Philadelphia International Airport.

Facilities

Classrooms at the Graduate Center have various layouts, including multilevel and U-shaped designs, and are equipped with wireless Internet. Students also benefit from several video conferencing rooms, a lounge and group work spaces.

Faculty

Courses are taught by both full-time West Chester University professors and adjunct instructors, most of whom are industry practitioners. WCU faculty members employ a variety of teaching methods in the classroom, including case studies, discussions, team projects and simulations. Instructors also make it a point to integrate their professional industry experience into class lectures. All full-time professors have earned MBAs from leading institutions, including the Wharton School of Business, the Kellogg Graduate School of Management and the Yale School of Management.

Student Body

In the last eight years, the total number of enrolled MBA students has grown from approximately 75 students to over 120 students, steadily increasing each year.

The West Chester Online MBA program can be completed on a full-time or part-time basis depending on one’s personal preferences and obligations.
