Rutgers University Executive MBA Program Structure

The Rutgers University Executive MBA program is designed to be completed in 20 months. Each of the four semesters begins with a weeklong residency at the Heldrich Hotel in New Brunswick, NJ every fall. Regular classes take place on alternate Fridays and Saturdays at 1 Washington Park on the Newark Campus. Typically, there are two classes a day, one in the morning one in the afternoon, though during the residency week, some shorter classes occur after dinner.

Curriculum

Rutgers University Executive MBA students take 45 credits of required core courses and 12 electives credits over four semesters for a total of 57 credits.

In Semester One, students focus on Aggregate Economic Analysis, Business Law for Managers, Executive Leadership, and Powerhouse Advantage I; while in Semester Two, students must complete the classes Financial Management, Financial Accounting, Managerial Economics, Supply Chain Logistics, and Analytical Techniques for Decision Making.

In June, at the end of the first year, EMBA students travel to the cities of Beijing and Shanghai for a ten-day trip in order to learn about the Chinese economy and opportunities for U.S. businesses there. During Semester Three, students cover International Business, Marketing for Decision Making, Financial Statement Analysis, Business Strategy, and Powerhouse Advantage II. The final semester includes Digital Marketing, Disruption, & Design Thinking, International Trade, Financial Strategy, Powerhouse Advantage III, and Strategy courses.

To round out their EMBA experience, students may specialize by taking three electives out of nine options: Web Analytics, Foundations of Entrepreneurship, Marketing Research, Brand Management, and Real Estate to name a few. EMBA students may take electives offered by the full-time or part-time MBA programs at the Newark or New Brunswick campuses as well as design as independent study with an RBS faculty member.

Careers

The Career Management office organizes various resources for EMBA students including one-on-one career counseling in person or over the phone, résumé and cover letter reviews and mock interviews. EMBA students may also participate in career-related workshops and networking events organized by the program. During the trip to China at the end of year one, networking sessions hosted in Beijing and Shanghai are attended by international EMBA graduates. The school also organizes one to two alumni events with networking opportunities each year, attended by over 120 Rutgers EMBA alumni.

Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid

For the Rutgers EMBA program, total tuition and fees are currently $24,529 per semester; a total of $98,116 for all four semesters. for all four semesters. The 10-day trip to China is included in the tuition, exempting airfare.

Admissions

Applicants to the Rutgers University Executive MBA program complete an initial application form that covers education and professional backgrounds and submit that along with a current résumé to determine the competitiveness of each candidate. Applicants are then contacted to schedule an interview with the director of the EMBA program, and after completing the interview, they submit a hard copy of the final application form and the $70 application fee. GMAT or GRE score is required unless candidates have completed a graduate degree or have significant/relevant work experience as determined by the director. Applicants must also submit two letters of recommendation and their official academic transcripts.

Rutgers University Part-Time MBA Program Structure

Students in the Rutgers University part-time MBA program have the option of starting the program in the fall, spring, or summer with classes offered in the evening, during the day, and occasionally on Saturday. The part-time program typically lasts between three-and-a-half and four years, though students may take up to eight years in total to finish their degree. Core and foundation courses can be taken on the satellite campus and Madison, New Jersey, as well as the main campuses of New Brunswick and Newark, while elective courses are solely offered at the two main locations. Several online courses may also be available.

Curriculum

The Rutgers University part-time MBA program’s curriculum requirements are nearly identical to the full-time MBA program’s, except only 49 credits are required for the part-time MBA compared to the full-time program’s 60. The core curriculum consists of are Accounting for Managers, Ethics, Business & Society, Financial Management, Managerial Economic Analysis, Marketing Management, Operations Analysis, and Organizational Behavior.

Students must also select three foundation courses out of six options, for a minimum of six credits. Foundation courses include Business Communications, Data Analysis & Decision Making, Information Technology for Managers, International Business, Business Law for Managers and Entrepreneurs, and Strategic Management. The part-time program also includes an interactive course requirement with three options for completion: Integrated Business Applications, Supply Chain Management Industry Project, Technology Commercialization & Entrepreneurship, or Urban Entrepreneurship & Economic Development. Students must also demonstrate their proficiency in Calculus and/or Statistics by the end of the first semester either through relevant previous coursework or by taking Calculus for Managers and Statistics for Managers at Rutgers.

Careers

While the part-time MBA is designed for working professionals, students may take advantage of the MBA Office of Career Management (OCM) resources. In terms of preparing students for the job recruitment process, OCM primarily focuses on full-time students seeking internships and jobs and outgoing part-time students, or students one year from graduation. Part-Time students who have completed fewer than 30 credits may sign up for a session with a career advisor or attend a seminar focused on polishing résumé, cover letter, elevator pitch or interview skills. Part-time students who have completed at least 30 credits worth of classes and have no contractual obligations to their current job may register for OCM. To participate in the On-Campus Recruiting Process during the fall, the summer prior part-time students must attend a mandatory three-hour Career Management Workshop, submit a résumé for review, and pass a mock interview.

Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid

For in-state residents, tuition for the Rutgers University part-time MBA costs $1,155 per credit. Those living outside of New Jersey pay $2,004 per credit. There is no separate loan program run by the school, so RBS encourages US applicants to apply for federal Direct and Direct PLUS loans by filling out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). International applicants need to demonstrate that they have sufficient funds to cover education and living expenses since they are not eligible for federal or university-based financial assistance.

After two semesters, and provided they have maintained a strong GPA, part-time students may apply for scholarships or fellowships through the graduate admissions office. Rutgers University Full-Time MBA Program Structure

The 21-month Rutgers University full-time MBA program mainly schedules classes during the day, with some electives offered in the evening or on Saturdays. Students have the option of completing an internship during the summer or taking classes to finish their degree sooner. There is one full-time MBA intake per year, and students enter RBS in the fall. The Rutgers Business School MBA is now a STEM-designated degree.

Curriculum

History

Baruch College was established in 1919 as the City College School of Business and Civic Administration, which offered its first MBA program in 1920. In 1953, the school was renamed in recognition of Bernard M. Baruch, who helped found the college. Baruch College is one of the 25 institutions that comprise The City University of New York, the largest urban public university in the United States. The Zicklin School of Business, Baruch’s business school, was named in appreciation for an endowment from alumnus Lawrence Zicklin and his wife, Carol, in 1998. The Zicklin School of Business is located at One Bernard Baruch Way in New York City by the intersection of Lexington Avenue and East 24th Street. Facilities at the Zicklin School of Business

Zicklin’s facilities can be found across several buildings at Baruch College, most notably the Information and Technology Building and the Academic Complex, also referred to as the Newman vertical campus.

The Information and Technology Building features the four-floor Newman Library, a popular study location with nearly 1,500 seats. Also in the building are the Baruch Computing and Technology Center, which holds more than 500 computer workstations, and the Subotnick Financial Services Center. Opened in the spring of 2000, the Subotnick Center houses a simulated trading environment called the Wasserman Trading Floor, as well as a seminar room and a development lab.

NYU’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business program was initially founded in 1900 as the School of Commerce, Finance and Accounting. It was renamed in 1988 in honor of a $30 million dollar gift from Mr. Stern, who received both his undergraduate and MBA degrees from NYU. NYU Stern is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. Today, Stern offers full-time, part-time, and executive MBA degrees. Stern’s part-time MBA program is known as the Langone Program, named in appreciation for a donation from Kenneth G. Langone, founder of Home Depot. The Rutgers University Professional MBA (PMBA) is an accelerated part-time program that runs for 21 months. In total, students complete 42 credits throughout seven sessions that each runs for 10 weeks, and students take no more than two courses per session, with all classes running from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays. In addition to class time, the program also includes a mandatory international residency.

Wharton School Executive MBA Program Structure

The UPenn Wharton School Executive MBA program takes place over two years and convenes every other Friday and Saturday at one of the school’s two campuses – Philadelphia or San Francisco. In addition to the alternate Fridays and Saturdays on campus, EMBA students are expected to attend an additional five extended sessions as well as participate in a week-long Global Experience.

Classes are held over three terms per year. Students are expected to complete the course in exactly 24 months.

Curriculum

The Wharton School Executive MBA students earn their degree over the course of 24 months with three terms per year. The first year in the program is built around core classes, focusing on Leadership Essentials; Analytical Foundations; and Core Business Foundations. Each core philosophy contains an array of courses to help build a foundation that is further developed in the second year with electives.

Students have the option to select from an extensive array of electives and campus flexibility in case the courses are not provided at the specific location of which they are enrolled in. The number of electives may vary, but the minimum amount of options is usually 25.

In the program’s second year, EMBA students engage in a weeklong course abroad in a country that is experiencing relevant economic challenges.

Wharton School Full-Time MBA Program Structure

The University of Pennsylvania Wharton School full-time MBA program takes place over the course of 20 months, with students having multiple options for the summer between their first and second years: internships, “career treks” in the U.S. or abroad, the Wharton International Volunteer Program, or working with a nonprofit through the Summer Public Interest Fund.

Curriculum

The Wharton Full-Time MBA students must take six required core courses in August and the first half of their first year with a cohort of about 70 students and a “learning team” of five or six classmates. Flexible core courses can be delayed until the second year, which gives first-year students the opportunity to begin personalizing their course of study by choosing electives early on in their MBA process. Students may choose from 19 different majors.

Starting when they arrive on campus in August, cohorts will take the following fixed courses: Foundations of Teamwork and Leadership, Marketing Management, Microeconomic Foundations, Advanced Topics in Managerial Economics, Regression Analysis for Managers, and Speaking and Writing. The fixed core courses are worth a total of 9.5 credits. The required core curriculum also includes first-semester courses in speaking and writing. The flexible core portion of required courses allows students to choose from a number of options, including courses focused on Operations, Marketing, Accounting, Corporate Finance, Legal Studies and Business Ethics, Management, and Macroeconomics. Out of these overarching topics, students must choose two options for further study, which are worth an additional 5.5 credits. For example, a student interested in Operations Management could start fulfilling their flexible core by taking one course such as Business Analytics, Information Technology, Innovation, or Operation Strategy.

The new structure of this curriculum gives students the chance to begin taking electives in their first year, as long as they complete the core curriculum at some point in their second year. As a result, students can begin pursuing their interests through choosing from Wharton’s over 200 electives.

Class Profile

The Wharton full-time MBA Class of 2024 features 50 percent female students, 35 percent international students, 36 percent U.S. students of color, and 8 percent LGBTQ+ students.  A total of 77 countries are represented. The majority of students studied humanities as undergraduates (38 percent), followed by business (34 percent), and STEM (28 percent).

On average, enrolled students have around five years of previous professional work experience, an undergraduate GPA of 3.6, and a median GMAT score of 733. The GRE verbal mean is 162 and the mean quant score is 162.

Career Statistics

The most recent Wharton MBA full-time MBA employment report notes that 98.5 percent of recent MBA graduates earned job offers within three months of graduation, with 93.5 percent accepting those offers.  The median salary of graduates was $150,000, with 60 percent earning a signing bonus of around $30,000.

Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid for the Wharton Full-time MBA

Tuition and fees for the Wharton School full-time MBA, which includes a $2,000 pre-term fee, is $84,874 for 2022-23.  This cost increases once room and board, health insurance, books and supplies, and ‘miscellaneous’ expenses are factored in.  The total cost estimate for one year at Wharton is $118,568. Students in the full-time program are all considered for one of Wharton’s fellowships. These fellowships can contribute to the costs of both years of schooling, though some are only for second years.

Federal student loans are available, as are private alternative loans. Wharton offers a number of scholarships for specific populations.  Additionally, Wharton participates in the Yellow Ribbon Program for armed forces veterans.

Admissions

Out of 6319 applications, the Wharton School full-time MBA program enrolled 877 students. In addition to filling out its online application, applicants to the Wharton School full-time MBA program will also be required to submit two essays, any undergraduate or graduate school transcripts, two letters of recommendation, GMAT or GRE scores, and a resume. International students may have to provide their TOEFL scores while those pursuing dual degrees may need to provide supplemental information to one or both programs. Those targeting the Lauder MBA/MA program will be required to submit to a telephone interview to demonstrate their language skills through a twenty-minute “Oral Proficiency Interview.” Additionally, applicants that are invited to interview must do so. History

The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania is located in Philadelphia. The school was founded in 1881 by Joseph Wharton. Wharton was the first dedicated school of business at the college level in the United States. It is universally regarded as the premier business school in the United States.

Locations

Wharton’s full-time program’s main campus is in the University City area of Philadelphia, west and south of the Schuylkill River. Wharton’s MBA for Executives Program also maintains a campus in San Francisco.

The main campus is located less than 10 miles away from the Philadelphia International Airport.

Wharton also maintains educational partnerships in Beijing with the Penn Wharton China Center, along with exchange programs with INSEAD in France, Singapore, and Abu Dhabi.

Facilities

The majority of Wharton’s Penn campus is located between Walnut and Spruce Streets to the north and south, and 36th and 38th Streets to the east and west. Wharton’s primary building is Jon M. Huntsman Hall, which was completed in 2002 and offers students 320,000 square feet of dedicated space for their educational needs. Huntsman Hall’s resources include 48 classrooms, 57 study group rooms, four teaching labs, two study lounges, two social lounges, a forum especially designed for the school’s undergraduate program, a 300-seat auditorium and additional meeting rooms and event spaces.

With the opening of Huntsman Hall, some of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania’s original or older buildings were converted to serve the school in different ways. Vance, Steinberg and Dietrich Halls now serve as office space for administrators as well as housing classrooms, additional conference facilities and professors’ offices.

Students enrolled in the Wharton/Lauder joint MBA/MA program focusing on international business will take several classes in Lauder-Fischer Hall, which also shares offices and common spaces.

EMBA students will most likely spend a fair amount of their time in the Steinberg Conference Center, which is where the Aresty Institute of Executive Education is located. The Center includes residential facilities in addition to class and conference rooms, and offers its guests access to a gym, dining room and lounge.

Faculty

Wharton has 240-plus faculty on staff, with 140 female members, and 116 born outside of the U.S. These full-time, part-time and adjunct professors are further divided into ten departments: Accounting, Business Economics and Public Policy, Finance, Health Care Management, Legal Studies and Business Ethics, Management, Marketing, Operations and Information Management, Real Estate, and Statistics. In addition to teaching students, these faculty members also support and contribute to the school’s 20 research centers.

There are 856 full-time MBA students enrolled in the Wharton Class of 2021, 15 Carey JD/MBA students, 67 students in the Lauder MBA/MA in International Studies program, and 78 students in the Wharton Health Care Management program.

Drexel University Executive MBA Program Structure

The Drexel University Executive MBA program at LeBow College of Business is offered on Drexel’s main campus in Philadelphia and boasts hybrid delivery combining a limited number of on-campus residencies with online learning modules. Students are engaged for 18 months over a 20 month period with no December meetings. The program concludes with a 7-10 day Global Capstone Experience.

 

Curriculum

The future-focused Executive MBA curriculum was designed with input from business leaders, students, and alumni. The degree begins with the LeBow Leadership Experience, a six-credit immersion that develops executives into more capable and confident leaders. It includes one day at the Drexel Boathouse where students learn to build high-performance teams. In addition, a rowing experience on the Schuylkill River is involved. Other residency topics include: Business Law and Negotiations, Aligning IT and Business Strategy, and Excellence in Corporate Governance and Brand Reputation. The Executive MBA follows a sequential progression and develops the skills of leadership, strategy, decision-making, and sound judgement.

Students in the Executive MBA program must complete a total of 49 credits to graduate and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above to remain in good academic standing.

Class Profile

Participants in the Drexel University Executive MBA program average 39 years of age and 16 years of work experience and are drawn from a variety of industries. Thirty-five percent already have graduate degrees, and 65 percent hold senior-level management degrees.

Careers

Executive MBA students receive individualized executive coaching from an independent professional based in Radnor, Pa. One-hour one-on-one sessions occur on Drexel’s campus three times throughout the 18 active months of the program. Students receive a customized professional development plan complete with goals, objectives, and a path to success. In addition, professionals and resources offered by LeBow’s Office of Graduate Career Services include workshops, career research materials, employer information sessions and an integrated online portal system called the Career Gateway.

Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid

The cost of the Drexel University Executive MBA is $92,500. One-on-one executive coaching sessions, textbooks, fees, parking, hotel and transportation costs during the international residency, and meals during class days are included in these figures. All applicants are automatically considered for scholarships.

Admissions

Applicants to the Drexel University Executive MBA program must have completed at least seven years of full-time work, including at least two years at the managerial level. Academic and work experience is reviewed to determine the applicant’s managerial and leadership potential, academic aptitude, and interpersonal and communications skills, as well as maturity and motivation. The LeBow admissions committee also evaluates career development and commitment to contributing to the program.

Applicants are required to submit an online application form, current résumé, academic transcripts for all undergraduate and graduate institutions attended, essays, and two professional recommendations. The GMAT is not required.

An interview is required for Executive MBA admission, and applicants are encouraged to meet informally with the director of the program.

Drexel University Part-Time MBA Program Structure

The Drexel LeBow part-time MBA at LeBow College of Business is offered as a flexible self-paced degree track that takes place in as little as 18 months. The LeBow MBA is offered at the Philadelphia campus, the Malvern campus, or online. Both the Philadelphia and online programs begin each summer, fall and winter while the Malvern part-time MBA begins only in fall.

Curriculum

Course requirements are the same as the full-time MBA, with 49 credits required; 28 credits in required courses, three credits in an MBA residency elective, and 18 credits in elective courses.

Recent statistics note that Drexel LeBow part-time MBA students tend to be a bit more experienced than their full-time counterparts, with seven to ten years of work experience. Lebow College of Business boasts a diverse and international student body. Full-Time MBA

Drexel University Full-Time MBA Program Structure

The Drexel University full-time MBA program meets at the Gerri C. LeBow Hall on the Philadelphia campus and primarily offers daytime classes, with some evening classes scheduled as well. Classes begin in September, and the first nine months of the program are dedicated to academic coursework. Next is a three-month summer session that consists of hands-on learning opportunities. These opportunities include  internships, consulting projects, and international residency options. The program is completed in 18 months. Students may accelerate their MBA journey and gain their degree in as little as 12 months.

The school operates on a 10-week quarter system. Drexel LeBow encourages collaborative learning by grouping students into cohorts of 25 to 35 students. One to two-week optional international learning experiences are also available for students. Destinations, for instance, include Turkey, Greece, Hungary, Austria, China, and Germany. These trips are not included in the program cost.

 

Curriculum

Students in all Drexel University full-time MBA programs must complete a total of 49 credits to graduate and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above to remain in good academic standing. A course in which a student earns a “C” or below must be repeated in order to count towards graduation requirements.

The flexible plan of study comprises of 28 credits of required courses; three credits in an Experiential Elective and 18 credits in elective courses. Students can choose from seven different areas of concentration – Business Analytics, Strategic Technology & Innovation Management , Finance, Marketing, Supply Chain Management & Logistics, or a customized specialization.

Students may choose to pursue a graduate minor for their degree, offering an opportunity to pursue an additional area of functional study. Areas of study within LeBow include Business Analytics Management, Economics/Economics Data Analysis, Finance, Marketing, Operations Research, and Sustainable Operations Management. Students can also choose a minor outside the LeBow curriculum, including Arts Administration, Healthcare Informatics, Higher Education, Project Management, and more.

Dual degrees are also an option for LeBow students, including: a JD/MBA; MD/MBA; MS in Television Management/MBA; and the MS in Biomedicine and Business.

Recent data shows that matriculating students in the Drexel University full-time MBA program have completed on average five years of professional experience and average 28 years of age. Temple University Executive MBA Program Structure

The Temple University Executive MBA program at Fox School of Business begins in January with a four-day residency in City Center Philadelphia and lasts for 16 months. Classes are held for one three-day weekend each month at the Hub Commerce Square at 20th and Market Street. A weeklong international field trip in the spring term of the second year is also part of the EMBA program.

Curriculum

Beginning with a four day residency, Temple University Executive MBA students complete a series of 16 courses during the 16-month program. Courses that are taught during the weekend sessions include contemporary corporate strategy, enterprise financial management, leading and managing teams and individuals, risk management and strategic cost analysis for enterprise management.

Recent figures show that members of the Temple University Executive MBA Class averaged 39 years of age and 15 years of work experience upon matriculation. The average number of years of work experience for members of the most recent graduating class was fifteen at the time of application. Finally, 37 percent of the EMBA class identifies as female. Around 20 percent of the 2016 class received corporate scholarships. While class size fluctuates year to year, the program reported 43 students.

Career Statistics

According to surveys completed by recent Temple University Executive MBA graduates, members of the class received average increases in salary of $26,000 plus bonuses while enrolled in the program, and a 48 percent increase over pre-program salary. 86 percent of alumni surveyed reported that they made an impact on their companies as a result of their degree.

Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid

The cost of tuition for the 16-month Executive MBA is $1,999 per credit hour. This includes the January residency, course materials, the international trip (excluding air fare), meals and hotel accommodations during class weekends. Any tuition and fee changes are updated in June of every year.

Temple University Executive MBA candidates are automatically considered for merit-based scholarships based on their application materials. Additionally, Temple undergrad alumni receive a 5 percent tuition scholarship. The Corporate Partner Scholarship Program allows students to save money on tuition if their company sends more than one employee to the program. If two students from the same company attend, each is given a four-percent tuition break. For each additional student from the same company, Fox covers another two-percent of the cost of tuition for each student. Full-time graduate students, including EMBA students, and those registered at least half-time are eligible for federal loans of up to $20,500.

Admissions

To be eligible for an EMBA, candidates must possess five years or more of management experience in a full-time position. In addition, applicants must submit a current résumé, two letters of recommendation, an essay, and college transcripts.

Applicants to Temple’s executive MBA program must pay a nonrefundable application fee of $100 and may waive the GMAT requirement by demonstrated prior academic, technical, or professional experience.

Flex Track MBA

Villanova University Flex Track MBA Program Structure

Villanova University Flex Track MBA courses meet once per week Monday through Thursday, beginning at 6 p.m., at the Villanova campus. Courses taken during the fall and spring semesters are 15 weeks in length, while the summer session runs for nine weeks. In addition to flexibility regarding whether the program is begun in the fall, spring or summer, students can choose to enroll in courses offered on Saturdays and through Villanova’s distance learning online platform. It is recommended that students take two classes per semester if they wish to complete to program within three years, and most students finish the Flex Track MBA within five years. Students must complete the program within seven years.

Curriculum

The Villanova University Flex Track MBA curriculum consists of 48 credits. After completing an online primer focused on building or refreshing quantitative skills necessary for completing the MBA curriculum, students take part in the two-credit Leadership Challenge. Taking place over two weekends, this course explores the dynamics of team-building and leadership. Following these “MBA Fundamentals” is a series of four courses referred to as the VSB Pillars, which cover topics including globalization, innovation, ethics and technology. Six core courses, a capstone component, electives, a current events course and several multidisciplinary courses round out the curriculum. Students have the option of declaring a specialization by taking 7.5 credits in a specific area. Areas of specialization include health care administration, marketing, MIS, real estate, international business, strategic management and finance. While enrolled students may, with approval, devote up to nine credits taken at another AACSB accredited MBA program to their Flex Track degree, undergraduate coursework cannot be used to waive Villanova courses.

Villanova University Fast Track MBA Program Structure

The part-time Villanova University Fast Track MBA program option requires students to attend classes two nights per week. The fall and spring semesters are 15 weeks in length, while the summer session runs for nine weeks. The program is usually completed in two years but can be finished in 21 months.

Students can choose to enroll in classes that meet on Mondays and Wednesdays in Center City or those that meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays on the Villanova campus. This program has only one start date each fall, and all classes begin at 6 p.m. On average, students spend two years completing this program. The tuition includes a one-week Global Immersion.

Curriculum

The curriculum for both the Fast Track and Flex Track MBA programs at Villanova encompasses 48 credits. Highlights of the Fast Track curriculum include a mandatory, one-week international immersion and capstone consulting practicum. Each Villanova University Fast Track MBA class takes the same fundamental courses in sequence within a cohort of approximately 35 students. After completing an online primer focused on building or refreshing quantitative skills necessary for completing the MBA curriculum, students take part in the 1.5-credit Leadership Challenge. Taking place online and over one weekend, this course explores the dynamics of team-building and leadership. Following these “MBA Fundamentals” is a series of four 1.5-credit courses referred to as the VSB Pillars, which cover topics including globalization, innovation, ethics and technology. Six core courses worth 15 credits in total, four “pillars” for 6 credits, a capstone component, electives, a current events course and several multidisciplinary courses round out the MBA curriculum. Students who have taken graduate courses in business at accredited universities may seek to transfer up to nine credits as long as they receive prior approval. During the spring semester of their second year, students embark on the Global Practicum, a weeklong international excursion designed as a capstone to students’ MBA experience. Typically, students travel to one of three locations to visit various business organizations and put the global strategic management theory they have learned into practice.

Students have the option of declaring a specialization by taking 7.5 credits in a specific area. The 10 areas of specialization are analytics, finance, healthcare, international business, cybersecurity, marketing, management information systems, real estate, strategy management, and sustainability.

Villanova University Fast Track MBA students are 27-years old on average and have worked for an average of six years before starting the program. The average GPA reported by Fast Track students is 3.0-3.75, and most score between 560 and 710 on the GMAT.

Tuition for the Villanova University Fast Track MBA for, 2020-21 is $1,210 per credit which includes the cost of the international trip. University of Delaware MBA Program Structure

The University of Delaware Lerner MBA program can be taken on a full-time or part-time basis and has three intakes. Students may elect to start classes during the fall semester beginning in August, the spring semester beginning in February, or in the summer, beginning in June. Students may also achieve their degree online in a little as 16 months or opt for a hybrid online/in-person format.
Part-time and full-time MBA students take classes together, which typically meet Monday through Thursday from 6 to 8:45 p.m.

Curriculum

Students in the University of Delaware MBA program are required to complete 44 credits, including nine mandatory core courses, two Professional Development Seminars, and electives, which vary in number according to the structure of the program the student chooses. Those pursuing only a general MBA must take 15 credits worth of electives, while those looking for a concentration or dual concentration will be offered a mix of given and self-selected electives. Students may choose a major (5 options available) or concentration (12 options available) should they choose to focus on a particular area of study throughout the program.

Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid

The Delaware Lerner MBA for Full-time or part-time tuition is $850 per credit for in-state students, $950 per credit for out-of-state students, and $950 per credit for online students. For the 44 credits required to earn a degree, therefore, tuition costs $41,800 for out-of-state residents and online students, and $37,400 for Delaware residents. Online MBA costs $900 per credit and is $39,600 in total.

There is a health fee of $227 and a center fee of $119 for all students, while part-time students pay an additional registration fee of $30 and international students have a separate fee of $160. All fees are per semester.

In addition, both out-of-state and in-state full-time applicants are automatically considered for Graduate Assistantships, which provide opportunities for students to assist faculty members with research and other duties. In exchange, grad assistants earn half or all of their tuition costs, as well as stipends of $4,500 per semester. The school also offers Corporate Associates Program internships for outstanding full-time MBA students, and these interns earn 50 percent tuition and a $9,000 stipend by working 20 hours a week with one of the college’s corporate sponsors over the course of their MBA studies. Finally, MBA applicants may be considered for University Graduate Scholars Program scholarships, provided by the UD Office of Graduate and Professional Studies, which are awarded based on a range of factors that include challenging life circumstances, academic achievement, status as a first-generation graduate student, and financial need.

Admissions for the Delaware Lerner MBA 

University of Delaware MBA applicants must hold either a four-year bachelor’s degree (with a GPA, typically, of at least 2.8) or an equivalent three-year degree from an international program. If the latter, you’ll need to contact the admissions office to confirm that your undergrad degree qualifies you for the program. GMAT scores are required except for those applicants who hold higher degrees, including MDs, JDs, and Ph. Ds. These applicants and candidates with four or more years of professional experience may obtain a GMAT waiver by filling out a GMAT waiver form. GRE, LSAT, and MCAT scores may also be considered in place of the GMAT. International applicants must submit their TOEFL or IELTS scores submit proof that they obtained an undergraduate degree in the U.S. or another country in which English is the primary language. Lerner maintains no minimum cutoff for either the TOEFL or IELTS but notes that international applicants typically score at least a 100 on the Internet-based TOEFL or a 7.5 on the IELTS exam.

Applicants to the University of Delaware MBA programs must submit unofficial transcripts from any previous institutions of higher education attended, a résumé, standardized testing scores if applicable, two essays, and an application fee of $75. Applicants can request to have this fee waived if they have proof that they scored above a 600 on the GMAT or 310-plus on the GRE. If applicants receive proof of their 600+ score after sending their application they will receive a $75 credit toward the first semester’s tuition. Applicants must also submit two letters of recommendation, the forms for which are emailed directly from Lerner’s online application to the recommenders. Full-Time MBA

Rowan University Full-Time MBA Program Structure

The Rohrer full-time MBA consists of 12 courses, nine of which are required and three of which are electives. The program features 36 semester hours in total, catering to both the full-time students and those with busy work schedules.

Among the required courses are Managerial Accounting, Managing Organizational Strategy, and Marketing Management. Students can choose from a wide variety of electives, such as Strategic Human Resource Management, Business Forecasting, Project Management, and Consumer Analysis.

Curriculum

All students must fulfill Foundation course requirements prior to beginning the Rowan University full-time MBA program. These courses can be completed at a four-year college or community college. Foundation-level requirements include the courses or course equivalents of Financial & Managerial Accounting, Macroeconomics and Microeconomics, Calculus Techniques & Applications, Statistics I, Principles of Marketing, Operations Management, and Principles of Finance.

Students may also pursue a specialization by enrolling in three courses in one of the following six areas: Marketing, Management, Finance, Management Information Systems, Accounting or Supply Chain and Logistical Systems.

Tuition & Financial Aid

For the current academic year, students enrolled in the Rowan University full-time MBA program pay $929.30 per semester hour, with three semester hours per course.

Part-Time/Online MBA

Rowan University Part-Time and Online MBA Program Structures

The Rowan University part-time MBA program at Rohrer College of Business lasts for six semesters, or potentially less than 24 months in total. Students take two courses each during the fall, spring, and summer terms and three courses during one of their two fall terms. The non-accelerated part-time MBA model can be completed in 27 months, 32 months or six years. In both the 27 and 32-month options, students complete two courses per semester, whereas those pursuing the six-year program take one course per semester.

Additionally, Rowan’s online MBA is also offered in part-time, accelerated format that can be completed in less than 24 months. The degree requires 36 graduate semester hours in order to fully complete. Courses are scheduled in eight-week modules that run from Tuesday mornings to Monday nights.

All MBA classes meet one evening per week or on Saturday mornings. Evening classes meet Monday-to-Thursday from 6:30-9 p.m. Those pursuing courses on Saturdays usually have class from 9-11:30 a.m. or 9:30-12 p.m.

Curriculum

All Rowan University part-time MBA students must fulfill Foundation course requirements which may be completed either before applying or upon entry into the program.

Rowan requires all MBA students to fulfill 36 semester hours (credits), with 27 hours devoted to required courses and nine hours to business electives. Required courses cover subjects such as management, marketing, accounting, decision-making and organizational strategy.

Students may also pursue a specialization by enrolling in three courses in one of the following three areas: Strategic Planning for Operating Managers, Project Management, or Introduction to Supply Chain Management.

Recent statistics note that 74 students are enrolled in the part-time program. Over 56 percent of the part-time students are male, and about 43 percent are female. Nearly 27 of the class features students of minority status.
