The Duke Fuqua MBA Class of 2019 had a record year for hiring. Within three months of graduation, 97 percent of the class had received job offers with 95 percent accepting, which, according to the associate dean of their Career Management Center, Sheryle Dirks, marks the highest percentages in at least twenty years. Master of Marketing Research

University of Georgia Master of Marketing Research Program Structure

The University of Georgia Master of Marketing Research (MMR) at the Terry College of Business, the first of its kind in the U.S., starts in June and lasts around 11 months. Students in the program are expected to complete 40.5 credit hours worth of courses with an average of 13.5 per semester. The coursework, taught in a cohort-style format on campus, is built around three principles: “Tools + Techniques;” “Business Acumen + Context;” and “Soft Skills.” Also included in the program are marketing research projects and the Altria Executive Seminar series.

Class Profile

The typical University of Georgia MMR class features 22 students that have an average GMAT score of 620, a GRE of 310, and an undergraduate GPA of 3.7. Around half of the class come from the state of Georgia, and 44 percent are non-Georgia U.S. citizens. Only about 6 percent of the class are of international status. About 55 percent of the cohort start the program immediately after earning their undergraduate degree, with about 45 percent having some amount of professional work experience. The average amount of work experience among recent classes is six years or less.

Career Statistics

An estimated 100 percent of the most recent MMR graduating class accepted job offers after earning their degree, with an average annual salary of $70,000.

Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid

Current tuition for Georgia residents in the University of Georgia Master of Marketing Research program is $12,738, with out-of-state residents expected to pay $36,135. A flat student fee of $1,129 is also included in the final cost of the program.

A limited number of graduate assistantships are available, offering $7,000 plus a tuition waiver. To qualify, applicants must have a 3.30 undergraduate GPA or a 3.50 graduate GPA and 550 GMAT or >300 GRE and plan to be enrolled for a minimum of 12 hours each semester. Out-of-state tuition waivers are also available for those with the same aforementioned qualifications.

Students may be able to finance their education through federal and/or private loans, depending upon residency.

Admissions

Applicants to the University of Georgia Master of Marketing Research program at the Terry College of Business must provide the following:

• A completed application
• Transcripts
• GMAT/GRE Scores
• Three letters of recommendation
• A one-page résumé
• A Statement of Purpose
• Two proofs of degree (international applicants only)
• Proof of English proficiency (if necessary)
• $75 application fee for domestic applicants; $100 fee for international applicants

Applications are reviewed on a rolling-basis with decisions usually made by early April.
