Clark Atlanta Full-Time MBA Program Structure

Over the course of four semesters, Clark Atlanta’s full-time MBA students will complete 60 credit hours. Twelve credit hours are for electives in an area of concentration and six are spent as free electives.

Curriculum

The two year Clark Atlanta full-time MBA is designed for students who wish to pursue careers in such areas as marketing, finance, information systems and accounting. The school maintains a small program size and work to make sure the curriculum stays up-to-date with the current business world. Students must choose a concentration from the following:

  • Accounting
  • Entrepreneurship Management
  • Finance
  • Marketing
  • Sports & Entertainment Management
  • Supply Chain Management

Sixty credits are split between four semesters and two years. The first year focuses on a broad range of managerial skills. The second year is predominantly spent pursuing electives in the student’s chosen concentration.

Class Profile

The Clark Atlanta full-time MBA program admits around 60 students per year and currently has around 160 students enrolled between both MBA programs. Roughly 50 percent of the students enrolled in a master’s program through Clark Atlanta’s School of Business Administration are female. Students have an average of five years work experience prior to joining the program.

Careers

There are many resources available to students at Clark Atlanta University looking for careers after graduation. One resource available is the Atlanta University Center Consortium Career Planning and Placement Service (AUCC CPPS). The AUCC CPPS offers students career planning and placement resources, plans on-campus recruiting events and hosts a database of contact information for over 1400 corporate, government and educational partners. They also periodically host on-campus recruiting sessions and career fairs.

Tuition and Financial Aid

Sixty semester hours of graduate study is required for the Master of Business Administration degree for full-time students at a total cost of $53,220. In addition to annual tuition, other costs may apply, including $1,008 in annual fees as well as books and supplies. CAU offers a Sibling Discount to a biological or legally adopted sibling currently enrolled at Clark Atlanta University. Siblings will receive a 33.3 percent discount after submitting a copy of both birth certificates, parent’s federal tax return and a simple application.

Admissions Procedures

Enrollment in the Clark full-time MBA program is only done during the fall semester. Students looking to apply are suggested to have two years of professional work experience and a previously earned undergraduate degree. Internships are also acceptable in the place of traditional work experience.

Applying students must submit: GMAT or TOEFL scores for international students, a one-time $40 application fee ($55 for international applicants), resume, three essays, official transcripts and three letters of reference.
