Mercer University Part-Time Evening MBA Structure

The Mercer University Evening MBA at the Stetson School of Business & Economics is a flexible, part-time evening format for working professionals. The entire program can be completed within 18 months with weeknight scheduling. Courses are completed in eight-week sessions and with enrollment five times per year.

Curriculum

The Mercer University part-time Evening MBA program consists of 36 to 45 credit hours. Students begin the program with foundation courses that require up to nine credit hours, and can be waived if the student has successfully completed equivalent classes. There are 21 credit hours of core program courses that must be completed in areas including economics, accounting, business law and corporate responsibility, management information systems, marketing, finance, operations management and ethical leadership.

Students may select a specialized tract to study. This requires 12 credit hours. Tracts include marketing, finance, economics, general business, human resources and healthcare management.

Students must complete the MBA capstone, worth three credit hours. This final course gives students that chance to take everything that they have learned and apply it to real-world situations.

Students in the Mercer part-time Evening MBA program have an average of six years previous professional work experience and on average are 30-years old.

Mercer University offers its MBA students access to various career services through the Office of Career Management, which has locations at the Macon and Atlanta campuses. Services include assistance in tailored career guidance, job search, internship search, résumé and cover letter assistance, developing personal brand information, interviewing information and salary negotiating.

Tuition & Financial Aid

For Mercer part-time Evening MBA students tuition costs $727 per credit hour. With a total of 36 credits without foundation courses, tuition for the entire program costs $26,127. Additional costs include a technology fee. A reduced tuition rate of $2,500 is given to the Business Foundations module.

Admissions Procedures

Applicants to the Mercer University part-time Evening MBA program must have completed a four-year degree or its equivalent for admissions.

Applicants must complete the online application and submit a current résumé, official GMAT scores, and official transcript(s) from each college or university attended. A nonrefundable $50 application fee is required.

Applicants who are not native to the U.S., as well as U.S. Citizens who graduated from a university outside of the U.S., will need to submit any education credentials to an independent evaluation agency, which will help determine what the U.S. equivalent is to their international credits. Non-native applicants are also required to take the TOEFL or IELTS if their primary language is not English. This requirement is waived for individuals who have taken college-level English composition and and earned a grade of “C” or higher, or for those who have already attended another college or university in the U.S.
