Georgia State University Professional MBA Program Structure
The two-year Georgia State University Professional MBA program at Robinson College of Business allows candidates to finish their degree in two years while continuing to work full-time. The program–offered at the Buckhead Center–mixes required and elective courses with seminars and real-world learning opportunities that work around a professional’s schedule.
Curriculum
The Professional MBA program encompasses 48 class hours and approximately 15 courses taken over a two-year, six semester period and follows a cohort format. The core curriculum includes accounting courses, management seminars, and a capstone course called Global Competitive Strategy. Students must also take 12 hours of career-specific elective courses.
The Professional MBA curriculum also includes an optional study abroad trip that will take place during a semester break, and which can count toward elective requirements. Study abroad options exist in countries as varied as France, Morocco, Brazil and Turkey.

The typical Georgia State University Professional MBA class is approximately 57 percent male and 43 percent female, with an average student age of 31. PMBA students have an average of 8.2 years of professional work experience. The average GMAT and GPA earned by PMBA students are 618 and 3.21, respectively.
Careers
The Professional MBA program format allows students to continue working full-time through the six semesters. Their Career Advancement Center (CAC) offers many services to PMBA students who need assistance with their job search. The CAC offers personalized coaching and groups sessions on topics such as career planning, résumé and cover letter editing and interviewing. The center also organizes events for PMBA students to meet alumni from various GSU Robinson MBA programs working in Atlanta and beyond.
Tuition & Financial Aid
The Georgia State University Professional MBA tuition costs $49,000 for in-state residents and $54,900 for out-of-state residents for the entirety of the program.
Fees cover tuition, books and materials, a three-day orientation (with meals, career coaching and assessments), networking events and select parking fees.
Financial assistance is available in the form of Federal Direct Loans, Sallie Mae Loans, research assistantships, merit-based scholarships, and non-resident tuition waivers from GSU. These opportunities are limited but present for international students.
Admissions Procedures
Applicants to the Georgia State University Professional MBA programs must have completed a four-year degree or its equivalent for admission, as well as have at least four years of professional, full-time work experience.
To apply to the PMBA program, applicants must submit a completed application form, one official transcript from all degree-granting and non-degree-granting institutions attended, a current résumé and letters of recommendation. The school also requires applicants to complete a two-part essay about their experiences and goals. Applicants must also send in their GMAT or GRE scores and a nonrefundable $50 application fee. Non-native English speakers are required to send in TOEFL scores, though this requirement may be waived by applicants who have earned degrees from a regionally-accredited US institution of higher learning. Admissions interviews are also required and all applicants must complete a virtual interview, while additional interviews may be conducted on an invitation-only basis after an application has been submitted.
