Lehigh University Master of Science in Management Program Structure

The Lehigh University Master of Science in Management M2 program is designed to equip recent graduates coming from non-business backgrounds with the core business skills necessary for success in today’s competitive job market. It is a full-time, 10-month program that will help students both define their career goals and gain business foundations that will give them a competitive edge in seeking higher-level employment.

As well as coursework, participants are exposed to professional development opportunities such as résumé building and interview preparation as well as career exploration opportunities.

A multi-week orientation held in mid-August will include skill-building activities to help prepare students for their coursework as well as for future employment. Participants will begin to hone their personal brands, work on their résumés, and learn about the recruiting process.

In the fall and spring academic semesters of the program, students earn 30 credits in courses in basic business disciplines such as accounting, finance, statistics, management, economics, and marketing during the fall and spring semesters of the program. The program also involves career workshops, such as trips to New York or Washington DC as well as developing presentation skills and business etiquette.

There will be a January intersession, where students can participate in experiential engagement through externships, consulting projects, and/or international immersion experiences.

Master of Science in Management M2 students have full access to the following Career Services resources as a collaboration between the Center for Career and Professional Development and the Graduate Programs Office: career coaching and advising, career education, digital tools, and events and resources to connect with alumni and employers.
