Loyola University Executive MBA Program Structure

The Loyola University Executive MBA at Sellinger School of Business is designed exclusively for experienced professionals who have achieved significant success and want to ensure they continue on this trajectory. The program is a two-and-half year cohort program. Classes are offered 8 a.m. – 1:20 p.m. on Saturdays and do not include summer courses. There is one intake of students per year; classes begin in the fall semester.

Curriculum

The Loyola University Executive MBA program takes two and a half years to complete. Classes are primarily delivered over ten 10-week modules during which students take two courses per module. Each year covers a different theme. Year one classes cover The Fundamentals of Business, year two covers the Process of Value Creation, and the final year covers Implementation and Stakeholder Analysis. Classes that students will take include Leadership and Organizational Effectiveness, Global Macroeconomics, Marketing Management, Project Management, Government and Legal Environment of Business, and Leading Change.

The integrated, lock-step curriculum is sequential, and includes core and advanced courses.

Students will be exposed to guest speakers and take part in visits to significant business sites such at the NY Stock Exchange. They will also take part in an international trip spanning nine days and taking place in Europe, Asia, or South America.

Class Profile

The typically Sellinger EMBA students is 33-years old, with 63.6 percent male students, 36.4 percent female students, and 18.2 percent minority students.

Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid

The Loyola University Executive MBA degree tuition for the entire program is $80,000.

Admission to the cohort is competitive and limited Fellowship (merit award) opportunities are available.

Applicants who submit completed applications (including supplemental documents) by the Priority Deadline will receive priority consideration for Admission and Fellowship Awards.

Most student loans are based on either financial need or creditworthiness and are available only to U.S. citizens and permanent residents. School of Business students commonly use the Federal Stafford Loan Program or Alternative Education Loans Private loans may also be available.

Admissions

Applicants to the Loyola University Executive MBA program must have completed a bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university.

To apply to Loyola’s Executive MBA program, applicants must submit a completed application form, college transcripts from degree-granting and non-degree-granting institutions, a current résumé, and one letter of recommendation (typically one from an immediate supervisor). An essay/personal statement that outlines an applicant’s interest and goals in pursuing a graduate program is required.

GMAT/GRE scores are not necessary. Applicants must also pay a nonrefundable $60 application fee. A personal interview will be given to applicants to the Executive MBA program.

Non-native English language speaking applicants must submit an official IELTS or TOEFL score report with an application.

The Executive Fellows MBA admission committee selects students on the basis of the following criteria: relevant work experience, leadership potential, undergraduate achievements, interviews with the EMBA Program Manager or other graduate business professionals, evidence of work ethic, and well-roundedness as seen through work accomplishments, community service, and/or extra-curricular activities.
