Simmons College Online MBA Program Structure

The Simmons College Online MBA is an exclusively online program that provides all the content of a traditional two-year MBA curriculum.


The Simmons College Online MBA consists of eight terms totaling 48 credits. Each term features two courses that can be completed in as little as 24 months. Students may extend completion time by taking just one course per term. These courses follow the initial Foundations of Business orientation course.


Simmons College Online MBA students have access to the Simmons Career Education Center. The Career Toolkit assists with career planning through a number of services including job and internship placement, personality assessments to discover the right employment fit, networking opportunities, interview, cover letter and resume writing instruction seminars and job fairs. The center’s online CareerLink resource also posts full-time job and internship opportunities.

Program graduates have been hired for careers at a number of businesses including for-profit companies, non-profit organizations and social enterprises.

Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid

For the 2018-2019 academic year, Simmons College Online MBA tuition costs $1,445 per credit hour, totaling $69,360 for the entire 48 credit program. There is also a $165 activity fee per semester.

Simmons has a number of scholarship options available, including Dean’s Merit Awards, Forte Fellowships, the National Society of Hispanic MBAs Scholarship, the City Year “Give a Year” Award, the Partnership Award, and Graduate Assistantships. Applications are automatically reviewed for scholarship consideration; no separate application is necessary. Both full-time and part-time students are considered for merit scholarships.


The Simmons MBA recommends applicants to have at least two years of full-time work experience.

Applicants must submit a completed application form; one essay; two letters of recommendation; official transcripts from all undergraduate, graduate, and study abroad courses; a current resume; and a $75 application fee ($45 if submitted before the first priority deadline). The Office of Admission recommends all applicants hold an interview. International applicants must submit an official TOEFL or IELTS score report, as well as an International Declaration and Certification of Finances (DCF) form and original bank statements.

GMAT/GRE scores are not required for admission, but it is accepted.
