JHU Carey Launches New Interactive, Student-Friendly Website

Johns Hopkins Carey recently launched its new website which has been one year in the making. The business school consulted with advertising, branding, and web agency idfive to make sophisticated changes to the approach, focus, and appearance of its website. The strategy behind the shift was to bolster the Carey mission statement, “teaching business with humanity in mind,” in order to clearly distinguish the program from other graduate and undergraduate business programs with a “business for business’s sake” feel.

Carey’s Marketing and Communications office looked closely at feedback about its website from alumni, current students, and prospective students. Carey’s administration along with the design experts at idfive determined that students, past, present, and future, wanted a website that emphasized the program quality and attributes above the particulars of its offerings or rank.

In addition to changing the website’s aesthetics and content, Carey and idfive also implemented a user-friendly interactive search tool, The Program Explorer. Students can now easily navigate program concentrations and offerings based on their interests. Pulling from website structures in the journalism, non-profit, retail, finance, and higher education sectors,  Johns Hopkins Carey’s new site is a much more interactive and rich platform for knowledge-exchange.
