Dr. Eugene Hotchkiss Receives Lake Forest School of Management Award

This year, Lake Forest Graduate School of Management presented its annual Distinguished Executive Award to Dr. Eugene Hotchkiss. Since 1978, LFGSM has given this award to “an exceptional business leader who unmistakably demonstrates managerial excellence and is an exemplar of the highest performance standards and business ethics, demonstrating exceptional business leadership ability as well as a connection with their community.”

Dr. Hotchkiss holds an AB degree in history from Dartmouth College and a PhD in Student Personnel & Guidance from Cornell University. After filling the role of President of LFGSM, he served on the LFGSM Board of Directors for 20 years and in 2004 he founded the Hotchkiss Scholar Program which awards merit-based scholarships to business students.

“When I was President of Lake Forest College, I was committed to a spirit of cooperation and mutual support between the College and LFGSM,” explained Dr. Hotchkiss. “To this day, I strongly believe in LFGSM as a leader in adult education. Establishing the Hotchkiss Scholar Program has been so rewarding for me personally. The professionals who bear the designation are some of the most accomplished business professionals in the Chicagoland area.”

Over the past few years, LFGSM has honored a number of exceptional business leaders, including John Landgraf, Executive VP of Nutritional Products, Abbott Laboratories (2012), Andy Mills, President, Medline Industries, Inc. (2011), and Michael Englehart, President, Advocate South Suburban Hospital (2010).
