Sally Blount, Dean of the Kellogg School of Management, has announced a new EMBA program with the Guanghua School of Management at Peking University, one China’s top schools.

The Guanghua-Kellogg program is fully integrated into Kellogg’s Executive MBA Global Network, whose partnerships include Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Hong Kong), Tel Aviv University (Israel), WHU (Germany) and York University (Canada), as well as Kellogg’s programs in Chicago and Miami.“We’re thrilled to partner with the Guanghua School of Management to provide executive-level management education in China,” said Blount. “Through our unique global EMBA network, which will now include Guanghua, we offer students a distinctive learning experience, preparing them to lead in the complex global economy.”

“This partnership is the culmination of a longstanding collaboration between Guanghua and Kellogg,” said Guanghua Dean Hongbin Cai. “The Guanghua-Kellogg EMBA joint degree stands for an education that is prestigious, relevant, and fundamentally international. Our new program pays tribute to Guanghua’s mission of developing truly global modern business leaders.”

Based on Peking University’s main campus in Beijing and at its new facility in Shanghai, classes are taken in week-long segments to reduce necessary travel time that will be required for students and faculty involved in the program. Students will also take classes at Kellogg’s Chicago-area campus with international the Kellogg global network. The EMBA curriculum will align with the themes of megatrends and opportunities; analytical skills and decision-making; strategic leadership; globalization; and understanding stakeholders.

Applications for the 22-month Guanghua-Kellogg program are being accepted now for the first cohort in September 2014. Ideal candidates are executives with 8-10 years of work experience seeking an elite global management education.
