Haub Hosts Food Industry Summit

On March 13, the Department of Food Marketing at St. Joseph University’s Haub School of Business will host the annual Food Industry Summit. The theme of this year’s summit is “Leveraging Omni-Channel Marketing with the Connected Consumer.” The summit gives food industry presidents, CEOs, executives, scholars, and students the opportunity to discuss major trends and issues in the food industry.

The conference will feature presentations from major industry figures, including John Caron, the Vice President of Marketing for Catalina; Jessica Gioglio, the Director of Social Media for Dunkin Donuts; Seth Moser, a Senior Manager at Accenture; Bill Bishop, the Chief Architect and Chairman of Bricks Meet Clicks; Jasbir Patel, the Vice President Omni-Channel at Walgreens; Mike Senackerib, the Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing officer of Campbell’s; Janet Oak, the Senior Director of Strategy and Insights for Daymon Worldwide; and Michael Moore, the Director of E-Commerce for Nestle Purina PetCare.

Ferdinand Wirth, the chair and associate professor of food marketing, said “Over the last seven years, the summit has demonstrated significant value for all attendees, gaining valuable insights from thought leaders across the various disciplines of the food industry. Our department is uniquely suited to host an event like this. For the past 50 years, we have been educating undergraduate and graduate students, performing research, supporting government initiatives, and leading discussions on key issues within the food industry.”

The conference will take place in the the Wolfington Teletorium in Mandeville Hall on St. Joseph’s University’s Philadelphia campus. The cost to attend the summit is $299.
