Rutgers Named One of “Top Ten MBA Programs That Lead to Jobs

Rutgers Business School Newark/New Brunswick has been named to the US News & World Report list of the “Top Ten MBA Programs that Lead to Jobs”. The top ten universities had the highest job placement rate, or percentage of alumni who find jobs within three months of graduating from a business school.

82 percent of business school grads in the United States found jobs within 3 months of graduating on average, according to data reported to US News & World Report by 126 business schools. The job placement average for the top ten schools on the US News & World Report list is 96%.

Rutgers Business School Newark/New Brunswick placed eighth in the top ten, with a job placement rate of 95.2%. The school had a full time enrollment of 233 MBA students as of Fall 2013.

The University at Albany-SUNY placed first in the rankings with a job placement rate of 100%. The top ten schools included the University of Tulsa, Emory University, Washington University in St. Louis, and the University of Washington, among others. Rutgers was the only school in the greater New York Metro Area to make the list of the top ten schools.

US News & World Report surveyed 453 schools to create their 2013 rankings of business programs. US News used data that was self reported by the schools to organize schools in its Best Business Schools ranked list. However, US News also believes that the business school data is valuable on a smaller scale, so they have created separate business school rankings for specific features. The smaller scale rankings are part of a reoccurring series called the US News Short List.
