HBS Holds LGBT Open House Event

Harvard Business School and the Lesbian, Gay Bisexual and Transgender Student Association at Harvard have joined together to host the LGBT Open House. The event will be held Feb. 9. From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This Open House event will give prospective students an opportunity to meet and speak with current students and members of the MBA admissions team as well as visit a class and tour the campus.

The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Student Association is a group of LGBT students, partners and straight allies at Harvard University. Harvard strives to maintain a supportive environment for LGBT students in the classroom, in corporate recruiting and on campus. The school also strives to increase awareness and understanding of LGBT issues at HBS and in the business community through events on and off campus.

Harvard Business School organizes and hosts speakers and other educational events around LGBT diversity in the workplace. Speakers have ranged from the former CFO of Ford Motor Company to the President of LOGO TV. In the last few years, at least 3 additional LGBT cases have been added to the HBS curriculum, and our first-year LGBT students put on LGBT-educational presentations for their sections.

Prospective students who are interested in attending the Open House event can complete registration for the event online. Those attending the open house event also have the opportunity to register to attend the Second Annual LGBTQ Conference at Harvard University on Feb. 7. More information on the conference can be found online.
