Robinson Starts Conversation About Atlanta’s Global Future

Georgia State University’s J. Mack Robinson College of Business will present The World Affairs Council of Atlanta Young Leaders (YL) seventh annual conference on Saturday, February 28.  

It’s no secret that Atlanta is a city on the rise. With that in mind, this year’s conference theme will be “Building Global Cities: A Vision for Atlanta.” At this event YL hopes to explore how Atlanta can begin to envision itself as a global city. The lectures, discussions and interactive experiences will address different facets of a becoming a global city, including economic identity, connectivity to global markets, culture, sustainability, and long-term growth potential.

The all-day program begins on Saturday, February 28 at 8:30 am at The Commerce Club. The cost is $55 for council members and $75 for non-members. On Friday, February 27 there will be a pre-conference reception at the Georiga Tech Alumni House from 6:30-9pm. You can register to attend the conference here

According to their website, YL “aim[s] to provide unique opportunities to facilitate the development of future young and innovative global leaders who are fully informed, socially responsible, and culturally aware. The YL mission is to provide a platform for current global thinking, knowledge sharing and skill-building on international affairs and global issues among emerging leaders and professionals of metro Atlanta.”

The World Affairs Council of Atlanta is a membership and grant supported, nonpartisan organization affiliated with the J. Mack Robinson College of Business, Georgia State University, and the World Affairs Councils of America.
