Rohrer Announces New Dean

Light Trails - Highway

The Rohrer College of Business at Rowan University has named Dr. Sue Lehrman as its new dean. Dr. Lehrman currently serves as the dean of the School of Business Administration at Philadelphia University. She will take over as the dean of Rohrer starting July 1, 2015. Dr. Lerhman has already made big plans for the College of Business, beginning with her  “Two months, 200 stories” initiative.

The “Two Months, 200 stories” initiative is Dr. Lerhman’s plan to set up 200 meetings with faculty members, staff, student leaders, alumni and members of the business community within her first 60 days as dean of the business school. Her plan for working with those groups is to lead the development of a strategic plan for Rohrer College of Business.

Before becoming dean at Philadelphia University, Dr. Lerhman served as the founding president of Union Graduate College in Schenectady, NY, an independent spin-off of Union College, working with an initial endowment of only $500,000 and a leadership consisting of only herself. After Union Graduate College, Dr. Lerhman spent three years as founding dean of the Providence College School of Business in Rhode Island. In this position, she unified four departments, and helped the school through much of the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) accreditation process.

Lehrman holds two degrees from the University of California at Berkeley, where she completed her doctorate in health services research and policy analysis and a master’s degree in public health nutrition. She also holds a bachelor’s degree in education from Oregon State University and serves on AACSB’s Board of Directors.
