The Lubin School of Business will be hosting a Veterans Entrepreneurship Boot Camp on June 4. The Entrepreneurship Boot Camp is designed around a focused, practical training in the tools and skills of new venture creation and growth and the technical application that will allow participants the opportunity to launch a startup. Registration for the Boot Camp can be completed online.

Program participants meet once a week for four weeks. There will be two different times for participants to complete the courses. The first group will meet from 1 to 4 p.m. and the second group will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. During meetings, participants will meet for one hour of business instruction, which will focus on a core element of entrepreneurship such as opportunity identification and analysis, organizations and operations plan, entrepreneurial finance and marketing or business plan writing.

Participants will also be given one hour of technical instruction that will provide program participants with the knowledge and skills needed to create their own website and one hour of lab-based instruction, which will give students the opportunity to create their own website using what they have learned through the technical instruction.

All of the activities and instruction for the Boot Camp were created to help veterans to connect their military experience to business concepts. Program participants will gain the skills and knowledge that is needed to identify and analyze opportunities, conduct research and create detailed plans to cover operations, marketing and finances.

All tuition and supplies for the Veterans Entrepreneurship Boot Camp are provided to program participants through a grant from the Blackstone Charitable Foundation. More information on the Lubin School of Business can be found at metromba.com.
