McDonough Graduate Commencement Speakers Announced

The McDonough School of Business has announced in a press release on the school website that American Red Cross President and CEO Gail McGovern will speak at graduate commencement ceremonies. McGovern will address graduates of the MBA and Executive MBA, among other graduate programs, on Friday, May 15, at 12:30PM.

McGovern joined the American Red Cross as president and CEO in 2008. McGovern has overseen the American Red Cross response to large natural disasters across the globe, including the Haiti earthquake in 2010, the Japan earthquake and tsunami in 2011, and Hurricane Sandy in 2012.

McGovern earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from Columbia University, and has also been recognized by Fortune magazine in 2000 and 2001 as one of the top 50 most powerful women in corporate America. McGovern is currently a member of the board of trustees for both Johns Hopkins University and Johns Hopkins Medicine.
