Insperity Exec Talks Customer Service to Bauer Faculty and Staff

In May, faculty and staff at University of Houston C.T. Bauer College of Business were invited to a talk by Tyler Pierson, sales innovator for Insperity. Previously known as Adminstaff, Inc., Insperity is an organization which provides human resources services to medium and small-sized companies.

According to the Bauer news site, Pierson stressed the importance of customer service in all businesses, including higher education. He said the key is to focus on the customer.

“We invested our time in the client and in their most important asset, people,” Pierson said. “We found out last year that out of 555 clients, 554 renewed. Why? Because they get more from us.”

Latha Ramchand, Bauer’s Dean, agreed with Pierson, “at the end of the day, our mission and values are the same as Insperity,” she said. “We value the fact that we have a mission tied to a client who we are serving — students.”

Insperity has other ties to the university too. Richard Rawson, Insperity President, received his BBA from Bauer in ’72. He serves on the Bauer College Board and has established a $1 million endowment to the Bauer Excellence Initiative. According the Bauer’s news site, he was also integral in establishing the University Classroom and Business building, home to the Insperity Center.
