Argyros Announces Industry Partnership with Honda Center/Anaheim Ducks

Argyros School of Business has recently announced an industry partnership with the Honda Center/Anaheim Ducks, according to a press release from the school. The partnership will be an extension of the business theories that Argyros students learn in the classroom. Four seniors at the school will gain an experiential education opportunity through working first-hand with some of the leaders at the Honda Center/Anaheim Ducks organization.

The Honda Center is home to more than just the Anaheim Ducks. In addition to the 2007 Stanley Cup champions, the Honda Center features concerts, theater performances, and the AFL team the Los Angeles Kiss. The student team will regularly meet both at Chapman and on-site at the Honda Center as part of their time in the program. Students will have access to key senior executives in the company, including the Chief Revenue Officer and the Director of Premium Sales and Servicing. Students will be advised by Assistant Dean and Associate Professor Ken Murphy and Dean Reggie Gilyard.

As part of their time at the organization, the four students will provide analytical insight on the box suites, an important part of the company’s revenue stream. These seats are designed to provide event patrons with a more luxurious experience than the norm. The Argyros students will have access to the past decade of data on the suites that the company offers for lease or rental. The students will analyze the data using a variety of tools and try to formulate a plan to maximize box suite revenue, including both strategic insight and tactical, in-season suggestions. The information generated by the students will be used by the Honda Center/Anaheim Ducks.
