Three London Metro Schools Make Business Insider Rankings

London Business School (LBS) was the highest-ranked MBA program outside of the United States in Business Insider‘s new ranking of the 50 Best Business Schools in the World 2015.

LBS came in at No. 12 on the list, with Business Insider calling the school “a recruiting and networking gold mine for a host of multinational corporations, including Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Co.”

Judge Business School – University of Cambridge was No. 19 in the rankings, with Business Insider citing the high number of job offers for graduates (95 percent receive offers within three months of graduation), as well as Cambridge’s tech startup community, which is known as Silicon Fen. Saïd Business School – University of Oxford came in at No. 26, drawing praise for its international cohort and the opportunities students have to travel abroad.

Now in its sixth year, the Business Insider ranking features a revamped methodology. Under consideration were 60 “perennially top-rated” schools that offer MBA programs. Reputation counted for 35 percent of the ranking, as based on a survey of Business Insider readers who had interviewed job candidates with MBAs.

In the other categories, information was provided by the schools themselves. Twenty-five percent of the ranking was based on post-graduate salary. Tuition and fees and average GMAT score each made up 15 percent of the ranking. The final 10 percent of the ranking was based on job placement.

The Wharton School – University of Pennsylvania was ranked number one overall in the Business Insider rankings.
