Foster Ranks in Top 35 MBA Programs According to Business Insider

Paccar Hall

MBA graduates of the Foster School of Business at the University of Washington rank among the top earning MBAs right out of school. According to a recent ranking by Business Insider, out of the top 50 schools, only 22 programs had graduates that earned $110,000 or more after graduation, and Foster made the list. The prestigious list included other schools such as the Stern School of Business, Johnson Graduate School of Management, Yale School of Management, The Wharton School, and more.

This is the sixth annual ranking for Business Insider, which looks at the best graduate schools in the world. The complete rankings were based on five metrics: reputation (determined through an annual reader survey); average starting salary after graduation; job-placement rate (the percentage of graduates employed within three months of graduation); average GMAT score; and tuition and fees. The reputation and starting salaries were the most heavily rated factors.

Overall, Foster ranked within the top 50 business schools and MBA programs in the world– coming in at #25 in the U.S. and #31 internationally. For Foster, their high starting salary is in part due to the fact that their MBA students are mentored by some of Seattle’s leading business talent, who foster an out-of-classroom learning experience. Foster graduates also go on to work at an impressive array of companies including Amazon, Starbucks, Johnson & Johnson, McKinsey & Co., and Northwestern Mutual.

Foster was the only Northwest school to make the list. They were recognized for their mentoring opportunities and their strong performance on student outcomes such as job placement, starting salaries, and relatively low tuition and fees. They beat out other top schools including USC, BYU, and Indiana’s Kelley School of Business.

Foster offers five different MBA programs: Full-Time, Evening, Executive, Global Executive, and Technology Management. To learn more about the MBA programs offered at Foster, visit their website.
