The Georgia State University – J. Mack Robinson College of Business’ part-time MBA program leapt forward in a recent ranking of “Best Graduate Schools 2017” released by the U.S. News & World Report.
Programs at Robinson have ranked consistently high, whether in overall or program-specific rankings, and the recent U.S. News rankings are no different: the part-time MBA surged forward in ranking compared to last year, moving up seventeen spots into No. 27 overall, and up eleven spots into No. 17 among public university programs.
Other high-ranking programs at Robinson include the Department of Computer Information Systems, currently No. 12 among information systems programs at the graduate level, and the Institute of Health Administration, currently placed at No. 33 among healthcare management programs.
Robinson Dean, Richard Phillips, commented on the school’s success:
“The Robinson College’s dramatic rise in the U.S. News rankings reflects our steadfast commitment to the MBA for working professionals and the enhancements we have made to the program over the past several years. It is also concurrent with the dramatic rise in the research reputation of the college. It is gratifying to see these results being recognized.”
The U.S. News rankings are determined according to a number of factors, including peer assessments from business school deans at other schools offering a part-time MBA, undergraduate GPA, work experience, percentage of part-time enrollment, and the average GMAT/GRE scores of part-time students. All two-hundred and ninety-six evaluated programs were accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB).
