Alliant International University Elects New Chairperson

Alliant International University, a leader in graduate study, has elected a new chairperson. On April 5, 2016, the Board of Directors chose Dr. Kai Roemmelt, CEO Artists Education System, to lead the University.

Dr. Roemmelt has extensive experience in international business operations, strategies, and development, making him a perfect fit for the role. As chairperson, he’ll be responsible for providing consultation and support to Alliant’s executive management team, various boards, and the Alliant Foundation.

In a news release from the university, Alliant International University’s interim President, Andy Vaughn, spoke about the election and what it means for the school:

“Kai is a great addition to the board. His international experience and proven change management skills are invaluable and will serve the university well. I am looking forward to working with him and together strengthening Alliant’s position as one of the leading universities in our sector.”

Dr. Roemmelt has an MBA from the European Business School and a Doctorate in Economics from the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. As part of his international experience, he spent time in India and South Africa.

In the same news release, Dr. Roemmelt talked about his new role and what he sees for the future of Alliant:

“I’m optimistic about Alliant’s future, especially given its outstanding track record of academic excellence. This is and remains the foundation of Alliant’s success and our joint efforts in preparing our students for their professional careers.”

Alliant is a private university offering graduate study in psychology, education, business management, law, and more. The San Diego campus and Alliant School of Management offer both Full-Time and Part-Time MBA programs. The school focuses on preparing its students to enter into professional careers, emphasizing learning through practical application, theory, and research.

Students interested in earning their MBA from Alliant can expect small class sizes (around 50 students a year) and prestigious faculty. The program is accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).
