Rutgers Camden Student First to Enroll in Accelerated BS-MBA Program

Rutgers School of Business, Camden (RSBC) will enroll its first student in its dual degree five-year accelerated BS-MBA program.

Dejana Bogdanovic will begin her masters’ courses in her senior year, and she says that she’s prepared for what’s sure to be a rigorous schedule.

“You have to find the motivation to keep going… [you] have to want it.  If you feel like you’re forced into it, it’s not going to work…I was considering a dual major as an undergraduate, but when I had the chance to pursue my master’s degree through this program, I wanted to take advantage of it,” she noted in a recent interview.

Bogdanovic, who was born in Serbia and currently lives in West Deptford, NJ, has already been offered a position as a management associate in finance from Glenmede Trust Company in Philadelphia. She had previously worked as an intern at the firm.

Besides her already fruitful positions in her chosen field, Bogdanovic counts among her valued teachers Rutgers professors Robert Schindler (marketing) and Alok Baveja (supply chain management). With these two mentors as guides, Bogdanovic conducted research projects in these areas of focus.

Bogdanovic remarked, “Most of the students [at RSBC] are working full time and doing the MBA part time… I feel that’s how you can make connections and gain valuable business experience. You start to see things in class that remind you of your day-to-day work experience.”
