Fifth Annual Smith School Business Summit Coming Later This Month

Smith School Business D.C.

The Fifth Annual Smith School Business Summit (SSBS) will be held on Friday, October 28, 2016, at the Omni Shoreham Hotel at 2500 Calvert Street, N.W., in Washington, D.C. SSBS is an annual event that brings students, faculty, alumni, thinkers, innovator and members of the Smith School of Business network together under one roof.

This year’s topic is “Success in a VUCA World: Leading in Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, Ambiguous Times.” Sure, that sounds a little morbid, but it’s an important thing to discuss in today’s business and political environment.

David Williams, president and CEO of Merkle Inc., will deliver the keynote address. Merkle Inc., is a performance marketing agency that uses data, analytics and technology to help brands such as Dell, GEICO and the American Heart Association sustain profitable customer relationships. According to the Smith School, with revenues of over $400 million, Merkle is one of the leading agencies in the U.S. for digital, CRM/data and search.

Following Williams’ keynote, two breakout sessions with six interactive panels will be moderated by Smith School faculty experts. Breakout Sessions include:

A networking reception will immediately follow the event. For more details and registration info, click here.
