UCLA Anderson Celebrates MBA Achievements Worldwide This Month

UCLA Anderson Worldwide Welcome Week

The UCLA Anderson School of Management is currently hosting its annual Worldwide Welcome Weeks, which will connect recent graduates with global opportunities.

The event kicked off early in October in Lausanne, Switzerland. Featured during the first day of the ongoing series was Dr. Heinrich Lammer (MBA, ’86).  Dr. Lammer is the COO and partner of Blackwall Capital, an investment management firm that focuses on under-researched stock opportunities throughout Europe.

On Monday, Oct. 24th, the UCLA Anderson New York alumni chapter will be joined by vice president of ABC News digital Colby Smith, a 2011 graduate of UCLA Anderson, at The Landmarc in The Time Warner Center on Columbus Circle. Smith will discuss the omnipresence of digital media within the context of the current presidential campaign. Tickets are still available.

The following weeks will feature other successful alumni like Rahul Hampole (’10), the product lead for Yelp’s multi-location and national businesses. This event, which will take place in San Francisco on Oct. 25th at Yelp’s New Montgomery Street headquarters, will present the implications of Yelp for the current digital marketplace, along with exploring the nature of the company’s growth model. Tickets for this event are also still available.

On Oct. 28th, the UCLA Anderson Chicago alumni chapter will meet with Doug Clayton, another recent UCLA Anderson MBA graduate and current general manager of the Chicago Opera Theater. Clayton not only attends to the various aspects of production at the theater, but he also manages the complexities of managing the finances of this major arts venue. His event in the Windy City will feature a behind-the-scenes look at the forthcoming production of The Fairy Queen by Henry Purcell.

The following month, Payscout CEO and UCLA BA alum Cleveland Brown will address the future of virtual shopping with an interactive event in Sherman Oaks, CA. Tickets for the Nov. 3rd event can be purchased today.
