KPMG Master of Accounting Program Arrives at Terry College of Business

A new partnership between the University of Georgia – Terry College of Business and personal finance firm KPMG will give accounting students the chance to participate in a one-of-a-kind program that prepares them for the digital marketplace.

The KPMG Master of Accounting with Data and Analytics Program is a program which provides partner schools with access to the audit, tax, and advisory firm’s proprietary technologies. Launched in 2016 in collaboration with the Fisher College of Business at Ohio State and the Villanova School of Business, KPMG accepted 51 students from these schools to take part in the program beginning last fall. Accepted students also receive full tuition, additional support while in school, and KPMG job offers after graduation.

The inclusion of the Terry of College of Business is an expansion to this year’s program that will take the number of participants from 51 to 135. After graduation, the 135 participants will work as interns on KPMG audit or tax teams and—through an advanced entry program—can also join KPMG’s audit or tax practices.

“We’re proud to partner with KPMG to provide more educational and professional opportunities to University of Georgia students,” Terry Dean Benjamin C. Ayers said in a press release. “Our Master of Accountancy program prepares students for success after graduation, and this partnership with KPMG will further diversify the marketable skills and competencies our graduate students are learning in the Tull School of Accounting.”

The KPMG Master of Accounting with Data and Analytics Program was recently honored with the “2017 Recruiting Excellence Award” by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), acknowledging the program’s rousing success in attracting and retaining new talent.
