Cranfield to Host 24th MBA Regatta

Cranfield School of Management will be hosting the 24th Cranfield MBA Regatta from July 10 to July 12, according to a press release from the school. Over 150 MBA students from ten of the world’s best business schools will meet in Portsmouth in order to compete in the event. Cranfield’s regatta is the oldest event of its kind in Europe and will be held in the Solent this year, a small strip of water that separates the Isle of Wight from the UK mainland.

Steve Harper, MBA student at Cranfield and head of the organizing committee, was excited for the networking opportunities that come along with the festivities of the regatta. “The Cranfield Regatta is a fantastic networking opportunity with so many students and alumni coming from all over the world. We’re all looking forward to a memorable experience—the sailing will be amazing and the parties probably even better!” he said in a press release from the school.

While sailing is undeniably the event’s biggest draw, the regatta is also designed to put the students’ skills to the test as well as give them a chance to network with a wide variety of people hailing from all over the globe. Sailing as a part of a team will force participants to utilize the leadership and organizational skills they learned in school. As well as meeting fellow students and alumni, participants will have a chance to connect with sponsors and potential recruiters during the regatta, giving them a chance to make as many contacts in the business world as possible during the two-day competition.
