A&M-Commerce Ranks in Top 5 Best Online Graduate Accounting Programs

Texas A&M University- Commerce has recently been ranked as #5 in a compilation of the top 45 online Master’s in Accounting Programs 2015-2016. The ranking, conducted by the Accounting Degree Review, included programs from across the United States, with a top 5 featuring schools in Alabama, Connecticut, New York, Massachusetts and Texas.

For each program, factors such as accreditation, prestige, student satisfaction and cost were taken into account. The top schools (including A&M-Commerce) have all been accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB), which is considered the worldwide benchmark of quality for accreditation.

The ranking was assembled by the Accounting Degree Review in order to help inform students make important choices for their education. For each ranked school, program details are given to assist students in making the best choice they can. The review gives further information about the A&M-Commerce graduate online accounting program, including the possibility of completing the entire program online. Also mentioned is the opportunity given to students with no experience in the field to take up to 42 hours of foundation-building courses. However, students with previous coursework in accounting are able to waive these foundation classes.

John Huymphreys, interim Dean of the College of Business, says: “We are very pleased with this recognition for our Master’s in accounting degree program. It confirms what we already knew. We have an excellent program that is taught by highly qualified faculty members with a passion for teaching.”
