Rice University to Host Women in Leadership Conference

Leadership Conference

The Women in Leadership Conference (WILC), which celebrates and encourages women in business leadership roles, will take place this February at the Rice University – Jones Graduate School of Business.

The Women in Leadership Conference 2017 will take place at Rice University on February 10, 2017, and will benefit scholarships for the National Association of Women MBAs chapter at Rice. This year, the conference will focus on empowering women to succeed in business through “the power of partnerships.” The conference will discuss strategies for building partnerships with both men and women, to help women better succeed.

WILC is an annual conference organized by a committee of women MBA leaders from Rice’s NAWMBA chapter. The conference was created with the goal of providing future women business leaders with a forum for education and idea exchange as well as providing an opportunity for industry leaders to contribute in a direct way to the advance of women in business.

This year the conference will feature a number of leading women professionals, including: Emma Fauss, CEO of Medical Informatics Corp.; Dorit Donoviel, Director of Biomedical Innovation Laboratory & Assistant Professor at the Center for Space Medicine; Susan Hodge, CEO of Women Leading Together; Linda Castaneda, Oil & Gas Lead at Ernst & Young, among many others.

A full agenda for the conference can be found here, and includes a keynote speech from Beverley Babcock, Senior Vice President of Finance & Administration at Imperial Oil, breakout sessions and other sessions such as “Branding: Building Presence & Reputation” or “Innovations: Tools for Non-Traditional Paths.”
