Home Depot Offers Student Scholarship for 2017 Reaching Out Conference

Home Depot MBA Scholarship

Six second-year MBA students will be given the opportunity to attend the 2017 Reaching Out LGBT MBA & Business Graduate Conference in Boston thanks to a sponsorship through Home Depot.

The annual conference, which will take place October 12-14 this year in Boston, is the largest worldwide gathering of LGBTQ business students. Originally startedĀ as a way to bring together LGBTQ students and provide them with resources and connections, the conference has grown from 100 students in its first year to more than 1,400 students, business leaders, recruiters and alumni in 2016.

Each year, the conference provides a variety of programs, from industry speakers to business workshops representing all facets of the business community. The conference aims to provide future lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer leaders from across the globe with the resources needed to be strong leaders within their community and within the greater business world.

This year, Home Depot will sponsor six second-year MBA students to attend the conference, providing full conference registration and three nights in a shared hotel room. Students who have already registered for the conference may still submit for the sponsorship and will be refunded their registration fee if selected.

Applicants for the scholarship must be enrolled full-time in an accredited business school program and should be in the second year of a full-time MBA or related graduate business program. LGBTQ students who fulfill this requirement are eligible to enter as long as they are able to attend and be physically present at the convention in October.
