Lake Forest Graduate School of Management held its 12th annual Golf Classic with the support of corporate partners and alumni from the Chicago metro area. The event helped raise funds to support LFGSM’s General Scholarship Fund, which provides financial support to MBA students.
Early rain and delays didn’t stop the event from being a success at the Royal Melbourne Golf Club in Long Grove. Prizes were awarded for various golf and putting challenges, team awards, and individual raffle prizes.
The winners were:
- The Putting Challenge: Kurt Arends, Sam Bloodgood, Chris Childs, Garry Dayton, Jeff Kershner, Mark Naidicz, Jason Sievert, Leanna Walther
- 1st Place Team: Steve Eikenberry (64), Mark Kroencke, Tom Smith, and Fred Snow
- 2nd Place Team: Joe Pray (66* scorecard playoff), Paul Lotharius, Alex Moral, and Dan Simpson
- 3rd Place Team: Steve Notaro (66* scorecard playoff), Grant Hanson, Mike Kalke, and Dave Klazek
Joe Pray, President and CEO of Trustmark and winner of the Grand Raffle Prize, will be enjoying a VIP Golf experience compliments of the Western Golf Association. The Grand Prize includes the opportunity to play Conway Farms Golf Club with a PGA TOUR professional during the Monday Pro-Am prior to the BMW Championship. The Monday Pro-Am consists of four amateurs playing with a PGA TOUR professional.
LFGSM provides private donor MBA scholarship assistance to qualified individuals. These MBA scholarships are made possible through the donations of individuals, organizations and fundraisers like the Golf Classic. Scholarships vary in their qualification criteria, including opportunities for applicants in the non-profit sector, entrepreneurial business owners, manufacturing positions, and students demonstrating high academic achievement.
