Quinlan Hosts Leaders of Tomorrow Leadership Summit

Leaders of Tomorrow Leadership Summit

High school students from across the country joined together at Loyola University Chicago’s Quinlan School of Business for the 2017 National Black MBA Association Leaders of Tomorrow Leadership Summit. The event is held each summer and is co-sponsored by Quinlan and the National Black MBA Association.

“Loyola—and the Quinlan School of Business—believe in the transformative nature of education,” Katherine Acles, Quinlan’s Assistant Dean of Graduate Programs, said following the event. “We are honored to help these talented students prepare for college, their careers, and perhaps even an MBA.”

The main attraction of the four-day summit was the the National Business Case Competition, where students compete for a combined total of $30,000 in scholarship awards. Teams of students presented a formal analysis of an assigned business case to a panel of corporate executives. That panel judged each group on their business acumen and their specific recommendation.

“I was blown away by the teams’ presentations,” said Geraldine Rosa Henderson, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Marketing at Quinlan. “They had incredible poise and deep preparation, and presented very innovative ideas.”
