China is home to one of the largest business markets in the world. More importantly, it is one of the most rapidly expanding markets. Although it has slowed slightly, the country’s economic growth rate is 6.9 percent, which is three times greater than the United States (2.3 percent). Within this market, Shanghai is a major business hub that offers many opportunities for talented MBA students. This week’s listing are all jobs available in Shanghai with major corporations, all of which offer an opportunity to those who wish to expand themselves beyond North America.

Senior Associate, Real Estate, Strategy & Consulting — PwC

PwC is the second-largest professional services company in the world. Employing more than 250,000 people across 721 offices in 158 countries, PwC offers advisory, consulting, analytical, actuarial, and legal services.

PwC is hiring a Senior Associate for its Shanghai and Beijing offices. The people who are hired for this position will specialize in corporate and business strategy, helping clients solve their toughest problems and defining and evaluating strategies. In addition, the persons hired will help organizations with their growth, pricing and profitability, and shareholder values, among other things. Candidates should have at least two to five years of prior relevant experience, and an MBA is preferred.

Lead Operator — General Electric

General Electric is a multinational manufacturing based in the United States. The company operates in the fields of aviation, healthcare, power, renewable energy, digital industry, manufacturing, venture capital and financing, lighting, and oil and gas.

General Electric is hiring a Lead Operator for its Shanghai office. Working in the company’s healthcare division, the person hired for this position will provide support for the implementation, development, and direction of production teams. In addition, this person will implement actions to improve product and process quality. Candidates for this position should have at least two years of prior relevant experience, and an MBA is preferred.

Amazon is a major force in the digital marketplace. Started in Seattle as an online bookstore, Amazon has expanded into a major retailer, selling everything from books to barbells. In addition to retail, Amazon has a strong presence in media, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence.

Amazon is hiring a Special Project Manager to work in the company’s Shanghai office. The person hired for this position will join a special project team that will work to develop the company’s presence in China and surrounding countries. This job is for someone who craves the opportunity to build a project from the ground up. Candidates for this position should have at least three years of experience, and an MBA is required.

Finance Manager, FP&A — Visa

Visa is a multinational financial services company. It is best known for its credit card services. Although it does not issue cards itself, the company is responsible for more than 100 billion transactions each year, worth a total of more than $6 trillion. It is the world’s leader in digital payments.

Visa is hiring a Finance Manager to work in its office in Shanghai. The person hired for this position will be a member of the company’s FP&A team in China, helping the company maintain its fiscal standards. He or she will be responsible for creating and maintaining a high standard of financial discipline, decision support, and accountability. In addition, this person will provide strong financial thought leadership on topics such as growth strategies and product initiatives. Candidates should have at least five years of prior relevant experience, and an MBA is preferred.

Digital Marketing Director — Lego

Lego, a Danish toy company best known for its plastic construction blocks, is hiring a Digital Marketing Director to work in the company’s Shanghai office. The person who is hired for this position will support a team that drives brand building to and demand creation for key portfolio stories. A major component of this position is driving business via digital commerce channels such as WeChat. Candidates for this position should have at least six years of prior marketing experience, with at least four years in digital marketing. The company prefers candidates have an MBA.
