Cal State LA Biz School Ranked by Princeton Review

Cal State L.A. College of Business and Economics has been named among nation’s best MBAs by the Princeton Review. This is the first time that Cal State L.A. has been included in The Princeton Review’s annual book, The Best 296 Business Schools.

Cal State L.A.’s College of Business and Economics offers graduate programs in accounting, healthcare management, information systems and economics, as well as the Master of Business Administration. Overall, more than 3,800 students are majors in the college.

The College of Business and Economics has for over a decade been listed among the nation’s best in U.S. News & World Report’s “America’s Best Colleges” issue, and is recognized by the L.A. Business Journal for having one of the top MBA programs in Los Angeles.

The Princeton Review’s profile on Cal State L.A., commented that, “The MBA program at California State University, Los Angeles College of Business and Economics is mainly designed to serve the needs of working professionals through flexible scheduling (meaning predominantly night classes are offered).”

Robert Franek, the Princeton Review’s senior vice and publisher said in the profile, “We recommend Cal State L.A. as one of the best institutions a student could attend to earn an MBA. We chose the 296 schools we profile in this book based on our high regard for their academic programs and our reviews of institutional data we collect from the schools. We also solicited and greatly respect the opinions of students attending these schools who reported on their experiences at their schools on our 80-question student survey for the book.”

The Princeton Review’s survey asked 21,600 students at 296 business schools their opinions of their school’s academics, student body and campus. The students also discussed their personal lives and career plans. The surveys analyzed for this edition were conducted during the 2013-14, 2012-13 and 2011-12 academic years.
