UT Dallas Global Leadership Executive MBA Program Structure

The UT Dallas Global Leadership Executive MBA program at the Naveen Jindal School of Management is a 21-month program, conducted 100 percent online. The remainder of the semester is taught through web conferences, discussions boards, downloadable videos and interactive study group meetings and five class retreats.

Curriculum

The UT Dallas Global Leadership Executive MBA curriculum is designed for managers who desire to learn how to enter a new geographic market, operate in new markets, and lead globally. The curriculum is made up of 29 core courses and 24 required program courses for a total of 53 credits.

Students spend the first two semesters learning U.S. business fundamentals. Beginning in the third semester, students will begin the global track.

Global Leadership Executive MBA students learn the competitive advantages of four regional markets. The fourth semester will help students to learn how to enter those regional markets. During the fifth semester, students will learn how to lead and execute in those regional markets. The program includes five retreats held on campus, and a ten-day international study tour. Students complete one retreat off campus, the international retreat, which will focus on international academics. During this retreat, students will have the opportunity to meet and study with other Executive MBA students.

The International Study tour is a 10 day event that will give students the opportunity to meet with business and government executives and educators to get a better understanding of the dynamic global business environment and culture of two different regions.

Global Leadership Executive MBA students also work one on one with an executive coach to develop necessary career development skills. such as strategic self-awareness, executive presence, social intelligence, political intelligence and social networking.

Class Profile

The average age of students in the Global Leadership Executive MBA program is 39, with the average amount of work experience being 15 years. Forty-four percent of the students are female. Thirty-one percent of students are from a country outside of the U.S.

Careers

The UT Dallas Global Leadership Executive MBA program is designed for current executives who are looking to advance their career and expand their businesses into new global markets.

Global Leadership Executive MBA students have access to the Career Management Center at the Jindal School of Management. The Career Management Center offers students various tools to develop a career management strategy.

Students also participate in Executive Coaching, which will provide them with an executive coach who will help to design goals for individual students’ career advancement.

Tuition, Scholarships, and Financial Aid

The total investment for the UT Dallas Global Leadership Executive MBA for the spring 2020 intake is $53,000. Tuition is paid in five installments.

The Global Leadership Executive MBA program is covered entirely by participant fees and employer funding.

Executive MBA students may apply for student loans. The UT Dallas Financial Aid Office can provide more information. There is also an Executive Education Financial Services Manager, Paula Baxter, who can provide interested individuals with financial information and can be reached by calling 972-883-4114.

Admissions

Students applying to the UT Dallas Global Leadership Executive MBA program are required to have at least three years of professional experience as well as international and management experience, and have completed a four-year bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 3.0 or better from an accredited institution. They will need to submit transcripts, a professional resume, a personal essay, employer agreement, and three recommendations letters.

Applicants for this program are not required to take the GMAT or GRE tests.

Applicants must send all required materials by mail to the Executive Programs Office or by email to the admissions manager.

After all materials are received prospective students will be invited to complete an admissions interview
