McDonough GEMBA Program Hosts Panel Discussion on Indian Retail

Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and Spain’s ESADE Business School hosted a panel discussion on Indian retail trade at the Taj Mahal Hotel in New Delhi. This panel was held as part of the Georgetown-ESADE Global Executive MBA module in India

The All-Star panel included Arun Chandra Mohan, co-founder and CEO, JABONG; Dev Amritesh, CEO, Dunkin Donuts India; Sunil Jain, managing editor, The Financial Express; and Subhash Agrawal, editor, India Focus. In addition, Stanley Nollen, a professor of international business at McDonough, moderated the conversation.

The speakers analyzed, discussed and debated the advantages, promises, and perils of the current economic and political changes in retail trade. They asked how each of these changes affect local stories, mass retailers, and online retailers, and predicted what will happen to consumer behavior and foreign direct investment.

The Georgetown-ESADE Global Executive MBA program mimes the global business environment by integrating and packaging multi-disciplinary information within modules.

Each GEMBA module is a “deep immersion” experience that integrates core MBA courses, a specially designed integrative course and a series of networking events and special topics and briefings. All elements of the module are developed to take greatest advantage of the residency location.

Every GEMBA module also gives you time to extend your personal and professional network and enhance your global perspective. GEMBA networking events will introduce you to local Georgetown and ESADE alumni as well as leading local business executives and government officials.
