McDonough School and Bipartisan Policy Center Partner Up

Georgetown University’s McDonough School of Business and the Bipartisan Policy Center (BPC) have forged a partnership between the school’s Business, Society, and Public Policy Initiative resulting in cooperative projects and conferences. According to a press release on the university website, “scholars representative of both will work together to establish business principles and practices that could be applied within agencies of the federal government to make them more efficient and effective.”

Dean David A. Thomas and BPC President Jason Grumet made this announcement on March 26 at Georgetown:

“The Bipartisan Policy Center’s mission to drive ‘principled solutions through rigorous analysis, reasoned negotiation, and respectful dialogue’ has much in common with our mission here at the McDonough School of Business to develop globally minded, principled leaders prepared to serve both business and society,” said Thomas. “Together, will can address the most significant challenges and opportunities facing business and government.”

Through this new agreement Georgetown McDonough students will be encouraged to apply for internships at BPC and center leaders will provide mentorship to business students.

“This is an important moment for Georgetown McDonough in its efforts to be the preeminent business school at the crossroads of business, government, and society,” said James P. Moore, Jr., managing director of Georgetown McDonough’s Business, Society, and Public Policy Initiative. “The mission and work of the Bipartisan Policy Center is critically important, and our ability to collaborate with it will not only benefit our respective organizations but will have a significant impact on the general public.”
